It's been soooo long since I've been enough of a boxing fan to understand why last night's fight meant very much. I get the impression that both fighters are good people who represent the better side of athletics. True?

pac fell off, so the selling point of this fight was partly like an old wrestling match....the babyface versus the heel

I agree. Looked like Mayweather was just thinking how can I make my 180 million dollars in less than an hour while (barely) entertaining a crowd and still keep my championship title.

Well, the opinions about Mayweather illustrate my ignorance of the boxing world these days. Too bad boxing (like so much else) is just not what it used to be in several ways.

It just came out that Pacquiao suffered a torn rotator cuff 2.5 weeks ago and will need surgery and is out 6-12 months. Guess that explains a lot.
