Stephanie from the neck down is pretty damn hot if you ask me, Trish is just all over beautiful. The rest of them are not that good looking to me. Ms. Elizabeth in her day, for her time was pretty hot but I think Stephanie's body beats hers (and JG beats his to all of them lol)

I always had a thing for Stephanie ever since I saw her but moreso when she "married" HHH storyline wise and they had the "Helmsley-McMahon Era" (or how I miss that) As for Miss Elizabeth, I always liked her the best when she was with the nWo. She had everything, smoking face & a smoking body (even for her age). I think Stephanie's breast enhancement was a bit too much for me as they looked too big for her body IMO

Hogan will be on RAW tonight, presumably to accept Shawn Michaels' challenge for Summerslam. Also, Kane and Edge will square off in a rematch from last week, only this time it'll be in a steel cage!

Looks like WWE will have some competition for the first time in 4 or 5 years... TNA Coming to Spike TV (TNA's wrestling quality is FAR better than WWE's, IMO.)

Does this mean WWE will no longer be on SpikeTV? Because I doubt Vinnie Mac would be happy with his TV network broadcasting the competition...

WWE Raw is moving back to the USA Network in September or October. SmackDown! will remain on UPN, though, I believe.

BTW, I just read that after a substantial amount of complaints from fans, the Muhammad Hassan character has been removed from SmackDown! He will work the Great American Bash with The Undertaker, but his career after the Bash is in question. I'm not too happy with the decision, as Hassan was meant to be the bad guy, he was meant to be the antagonist, but I do feel they went a little far with the "terrorist" angle. I still think they should keep his character, as it is just a character. Here's the link to the full article:

Wow, I'm surprised that USA would take them back because I thought the WWF (at that time) left on bad terms from USA. Why is Spike choosing TNA over WWE? They know WWE is a bigger draw. Also, when will TNA start up because I have wanted to watch it? I think I saw part of 1 show last summer or winter and the ring look f*cked up (it was like 6 sided or something). The Outsiders still working TNA or no?

I didn't know Raw was moving back to USA...like I12 said, I swore they left on terrible terms, bashing USA network and whatnot. Oh well. I always prefered the picture quality and attitude of USA Networks over TNN/Spike anyways. Plus, now we don't need to pay to see TNA, which will be sweet!

You didn't have to pay to begin with. I believe TNA came on every Friday morning at like 1:00 a.m. Granted, that's not an ideal time to be watching wrestling, but I caught a few episodes here and there. It's definitely different, but the wrestling quality is much better. Now they just need a little bit of WWE's "entertainment value." The 6-sided ring in TNA opens up a whole world of opportunities.

I remember watching ECW back when it was in its prime. I, for one, thought the guys were idiots for what they were doing, but you couldn't deny the heart they put into their craft. I was always a big ECW fan.

They could have put ECW on 3:30 am on a Tuesday and I still would have watched it.

They had heart no doubt about it, but the brains might not have been there. Entertaning OH HELL YEAH, but they got paid garbage *when they got paid*, when ECW was on it's last leg a lot of wrestlers were either not getting paid or getting paid a portion of what they should.

It was a sight many fans never thought they would see again, until now. Bret Hart and Vince McMahon met face to face today before shooting began for the upcoming DVD chronicling the Hit Man's career.

During shooting, McMahon and Hart both talked about Bret's beginnings, SummerSlam 1992, the historic Owen Hart-Bret Hart rivalry, Stone Cold Steve Austin, the infamous Montreal incident, Bret's jump to WCW and much more.

Afterwards, the Hit Man said he was "happy with how everything went today," regarding the Bret Hart-WWE joint production.

No news on when it's coming out though. I heard that a DVD would come out awhile ago. It's (hopefully) gonna be a 3-disc set like the Ric Flair DVD. However, I had no idea that Bret actually met Vince! That's the best year's I've heard in forever!

If Bret ever showed up for a WWE pay-per-view I would buy it no doubt. I haven't seen one in years (probably WrestleMania 18 or something) but I would definitely buy a PPV to see Bret again. I'm not even sure Bret can wrestling anymore. The stroke really did a number on him. I think he's fully recovered, but I can't swear to it. Also, he's made it clear that he doesn't want to deal with the stress of having to be on the road all the time. He's still in talks with TNA though. They'll offer him a decent pay check, plus it won't require him to deal with the "road life" the WWE is famous for.

But look at Hogan. I mean, can anyone honestly say that the Rock, a guy who is about 30 years younger than him, couldn't have kicked his ass all over the place in those comeback matches?

Bret Hart would do like Hogan, only an appearence here or there, a run-in, and a special PPV match, which would be cool.

Bret Hart just finished giving a short interview on Dave Meltzer's Wrestling Observer Live radio show. He was on for the last 15 minutes of the program.

He said his book deal would be done without WWE. He doesn't see that it could be done by anyone but himself. He said he needed WWE to get access to his footage but for a book he doesn't need footage.

He said he's moved on from the Montreal incident. He said he still has his feelings on the situation but bigger things in life have happened such as family tragedies, 9/11, Owen's death and his stroke. He said that he and Vince had a conversation and agreed they need to put their personal feelings towards each other aside for the benefit of the fans. He says that fans made him who he is and that without them he'd be nothing. He also said he thanks WWE for giving him the opportunity to showcase his talents in front of the fans for so many years.

He feels he has expressed his feelings on Montreal in other interviews and that everyone knows what happened. He said everyone has their opinion and that they are either on one side or the other. He said that you minimize it or you can make a bigger deal about it but there's no need to keep rehashing the situation.

He said he agreed to do the DVD because he wanted to be a part of it as opposed to having the DVD released without his participation. He was afraid without him it would have come across like something that would have aired on Confidential. He said Montreal will be mentioned and that, although you don't have to make a big deal about it anymore, it can't be ignored either. He said there would be footage on the DVD paying tribute to his days in Stampede Wrestling (which he said was where he had the most fun) and the Hart Foundation. He said they were stepping stones along the way. He also said he always envisioned one day there would be a video package paying tribute to his days in Stampede Wrestling.

He says everyone in WWE treated him first class and he doesn't have any complaints on any level. He says that he thinks the DVD will be done very professionally and that he won't be taken advantage of either. He said this didn't happen sooner because over the years there was possible miscommunication on either of their parts that led Bret to believe WWE was stabbing him in the eyes and taking shots at him.

He said he doesn't have future plans to work with WWE beyond this DVD. He said he doesn't know what else can be done. He said he would see what happens when this project is complete and is released. He said he doesn't want to get back in the ring as a referee or a commentator, or a commissioner or a manager. He doesn't want to be remembered for that. He said he wants to be remembered for being a great champion.

Meltzer said he would back in a couple of weeks for the full 2 hours.

Nothing was mentioned about Bret possible being inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in Chicago. My personal opinion based on what he said is that it's not going to happen. I get the feeling while he's not closing the door with working with WWE but isn't exactly anxious to do business with them again either.

I can't wait to get both the book & DVD. I wish they would give us some kinda of time table!

I gotta say, the promo that Shawn Michael's cut last night had to be one of the best I've heard in a long time. He had the Montreal fans in the palm of his hand. Granted, Bret Hart won't be too happy that WWE is still beating this dead horse, but c'mon! They're in Montreal, Shawn Michaels is becoming a heel again, they gotta milk the Montreal Incident for what it's worth.

I highly doubt Bret Hart will ever come back to wrestle, or even be involved in a storyline, but MAN, it would be awesome. A Survivor Series return match or something. Only thing is it wouldn't be quite the same, seeing as Earl Hebner was recently fired from WWE for, of all things, selling unauthorized merchandise.

WHAT!? Earl Hebner got fired! He's been with the company for years! I can't believe this!! BTW, Matt Hardy is still going out with Lita in real life, right? I saw a segment breaking down the whole breakup and everything and she was on Byte This saying how she could sleep with anyone she wanted to. It's just part of the storyline, right?

Believe it or not, this is one of the few times in wrestling history that a storyline is real. While Matt was out with his knee injury, Lita actually did cheat on him with Adam Copeland (Edge). The WWE sense a tense situation coming, so they released Hardy. Once the Lita/Edge/Kane storyline began, people started chanting "We Want Matt!", and Vince saw the dollar signs, so he re-hired Matt Hardy. I'm pretty sure that Edge and Matt and Lita have cleared up any bad blood, but the story behind the feud is very real.

Wow I can't believe that. I thought it was probably a good storyline with Lita airing it all out on Byte This. That sucks for him man. I'd be sooooooooooooooo pissed (they had a 6 year relationship!). How long did Hebner work for the WWE?

God, I couldn't even begin to guess. He's worked for WWE for as long as I can remember, and I've watched wrestling for at least 15 years. Both he and his twin brother Dave were fired for selling unauthorized merchandise. It's a shame too.

I couldn't find the link to the story, but if I remember correctly, they were selling t-shirts, title belts, action figures, the regular kind of stuff. Since they were selling it without the WWE's knowledge, they didn't have to share the profits. WWE found out, and Earl was terminated immediately. Dave was fired about a week later.

XXX in all honesty do you really believe they could clear up all bad blood? It wasn't like edge and lita were an "accident" There will be some real shots thrown during the match, I'd bet on that.

I don't think everything has been cleared up, but I'm sure they've gotten to a point where they'll just wanna beat the shit out of each other, and not actually murder each other.

Thoughts on Homecoming last week:

*The Shawn Michaels/Kurt Angle match was just brilliant stuff. Too bad this was the watershed moment of quality for the moment.

*The Steve Austin segment ran about 10 minutes way too long. I laughed when Shane Mcmahon reappeared from his Directorship of Obscurity of the WWE HQ, then he gets immediately decked, but then more and more...I thought, "You mean I got cheated out of a decent tag team match and the Smackdown/RAW brawl at the end?" for this dreck?

*Hulk Hogan wanting one final match with "Stone Cold" Steve Austin? I'm getting tired of these Nostalgic dream matches, but this one would be fun if it happens. Of course, two major Fan Favorites...who would be allowed to win?

*NO MORE WOMEN'S WRESTLING PLEASE! - The Divas are beautiful, as we all know. But watching them wrestle, despite the possible cheap soft-core porn implications that a hetero-dude like me shouldn't turn away, was about as fun as doing my taxes.

WOW! "Saturday Night’s Main Event is returning to NBC this March after a 13-year hiatus." I'm looking forward to watching Raw again when I'm in New York (I have class Monday nights so I don't get to see it except the summer & winter)

Hey thanks for letting us know Irish. My 9 year old boy loves to watch wrestling. I let him stay up late on Monday nights to watch Raw. We don't get the UPN channel here so he don't get to see smackdown. And of course his fav wrestler is the Undertaker and he is on smackdown. For that show you were talking about will they have wrestlers from both rosters on there?

Mig, I think by the time March comes around the 2 "shows" will be on each others programming so much that it won't even matter. There are very few stars on Smackdown and everyone kinda knows that Raw is the "big time", I think they are going to merge them as much as possible but still keeping both shows.

Storyline wise, I think the Man Who helped to destroy WCW won't get the axe. Instead, he'll be forced to grudgedly work for Shane.

At least that is what I would figure creative wise.

Yes Mignon he is big. He once admitted to taking steroids and he still looks like he is on them. Anyway I believe that Shane will become General Manger tonite and Bischoff will leave Raw for about a month and take his yearly vacation. Then he will be back. It will be a great show tonite though. I'm glad Angle made it into the chamber. Angle is the best in the business, bar none (followed close by Benoit. God knows what the hell SmackDown! is thinking :rolleyes: ).

Triple H is awesome, though. You really can't appreciate his ability until you see him in person. He's a machine.

I can say the same for Angle, as well. Angle is like a pit bull when he gets in that ring.

I'm also glad to see that Carlito and Chris Masters made it. I'm a big Carlito fan. I just wish they'd give this guy a finishing move.

On another note. I'm upset that Ken Kennedy (from SmackDown!) has been sidelined with an injury. According to WWE.com, he was a complete lat tear. He was quickly becoming my favorite on SmackDown!

Did you guys know that Carlito's father is legend Carlos Colon? He is a legend in Puerto Rico, and had many, many bloodbaths with Bruiser Brody. He rarely wrestled in North America though. He did appear on the first Starrcade card, 1983, and fought Abdullah the Butcher (another bloodbath, but then again all matches with Abdullah were bloodbaths!)

Just saw Smackdown. One thing I really can't stand about the WWE, I don't know/recognize half of the wrestlers. They're all new to me. I'm gonna try to watch TNA Wrestling tomorrow night

Just watched my first TNA show. It's only an hour long and I liked it. I knew some wrestlers and you could tell it's nowhere near the level of WWE but it is a nice alternative. If you have the time, check it out next Saturday night on Spike at 11 PM EST.

The only storyline that comes to mind is the Undertaker vs randy orton feud, they are going back and forth because Randy is the "legend killer" and Undertaker is a "Legend". Besides that I really don't know of any true storylines going on right now. Mig might know

On RAW:

-- It seems that they are starting a rivalry between Triple H and the Big Show. The Big Show was highly pissed off at HHH after the beating he gave Ric Flair at the last PPV. So Show said that HHH would get what was coming to him real soon. Now that both HHH and Show are disqualified from the Elimination Chamber match, expect those two to have a one-on-one match at the PPV.

-- Kurt Angle has two ongoing rivalries: one with HBK, the other with Mark Wahlberg...er...excuse me, John Cena. His beef with Michaels stems all the way back to last year's Royal Rumble, when Michaels eliminated Angle. They had a match at Wrestlemania 21, where Angle made Michaels tap to the Ankle Lock. They had another match at some other PPV where Michaels beat him. They had a "rubber match" soon thereafter. They fought to a draw in a 30-minute Ironman Match.

Angle's beef with Cena is pretty simple. He wants the title, and he doesn't like the way Cena portrays the company as their top man.

-- Edge doesn't get along with anybody except Lita. He won a match back at WM21 called the "Money in the Bank Ladder Match." The winner of the match was guaranteed a title shot within a year. That's why he carries the briefcase around with him everywhere he goes.

-- Big Show and Kane had a rivalry going on with SmackDown's Rey Mysterio and Batista, but that ended at the last SmackDown PPV.

That's all I can think of for RAW. Somebody else can add more. Now onto SmackDown!

-- The Boogeyman is some weirdo, Papa Shango wannabe who eats worms and scares the sh*t out of his opponents.

-- There is currently no one in the title race on SmackDown!, as Batista (the champ) is injured, and so they only really have him competing in tag matches.

-- The rivalry between Randy Orton and Undertaker just ended last Sunday at Armageddon (presumably anyway), when Taker defeated Orton in a Hell in a Cell match.

-- Bobby Lashley is currently running through the entire SmackDown! lockerroom. This guy is a beast!

I'm probably forgetting a whole bunch of stuff. I'm sure Mig or DMC will be able to further elaborate.

Bobby Lashley is a monster! I just saw him on Smackdown last Friday and he's VERY scary. A black Goldberg perhaps? Has RVD been injuried the past year with his knee!?

Lashley is great, it seems like WWE is going back to the Hogan, Warrior days of the big buff guys. (Not the Steve Austins and Undertakers)

RVD is recovering from knee surgery. He wanted to be back by mid '05, but he decided to wait it out a little longer. He should be back sometime in the next month or two.

Cena's push came because of the fans. All fans took a liking to him because he was new with his rapping or whatever but that was last year. Now the fans are not backing him but it's almost too far gone because WWE needs headliners. They will try different angles to get Cena's following back if not, the second a new headliner comes out Cena will be out or repackaged.

I saw awhile back that Angle won the Smackdown title (did he beat Batistia?). So now is Angle on Smackdown or what? Sorry, I haven't watched wrestling in the past month unfortunately. Maybe I'll TiVo tomorrow night's Raw (I always like to start fresh after a PPV)

Batista relinquished the World Title a few weeks ago because of an injury (a torn biceps, I believe). SmackDown GM Teddy Long held a 15 (or 20) man over-the-top rope battle royal, in which the winner would be crowned the new World Heavyweight champ. Angle made a surprise appearance (not really surprising, as SmackDown needs star power), Angle won the match, and the title.

As for Cena, I dug his character for a few months, but they really need to do something with it. Does anyone really buy the whole "white thug" gimmick?

Undertaker returned at the Royal Rumble and from what I read it was an awesome intro as Royal Rumble went off the air, I'm now trying to find video of it lol

It was a pretty good PPV, but I just dont understand why the rumble itself wasnt the ME It sucked haviing mark henry in the ME. The Cena/Edge match seemed to be a little short, but wasnt bad. Should set up a good WrestleMania in 2 months

It used to be Intercontinental Match started it off, then tag team championship or just a regular match, then the World Title match and then the Royal Rumble.

I'm not sure what Rey gets for it, it's usually a title shot but I read somewhere that he's not going to get it.

Why on Earth did they have Edge take the title from Cena, if they were just gonna give it back 3 weeks later? They pretty much killed all the momentum they had been building for Edge.

They didn't give Edge enough time to carry the title. He was unable to prove himself as champ.

I'm glad that Rey Mysterio won the Royal Rumble, but I gotta think that it wouldn't have happened if Eddie Guerrero hadn't died. Rey Mysterio is one of the most gifted performers in the business (if not the most gifted), but Mysterio's stock has risen exponentially since the death of Guerrero. Mysterio is now more of an underdog than ever, and so, IMO, they gave him the Rumble.

I'm a huge mark for Rey Mysterio, so I hope he can pull off a title victory at WrestleMania.

I don't know what the WWE was thinking putting Mark Henry in the main event at the Rumble. Was Henry really the best they could do for Angle? Here's a hint to the SmackDown execs: PUT CHRIS BENOIT BACK IN THE MAIN EVENT PICTURE!!!!!

Mickey James vs. Trish Stratus (Women's Championship)

It is my opinion that the "Money in the Bank" ladder match should be a mainstay at WrestleMania. Give another up and comer a chance at the top spot. Plus, it was a hell of a match at WM21.

Sorry Mig, but when I was watching wrestling on a regular basis, he was the HHH version on Smackdown. The guy NEVER lost (unless by count out or DQ) and never put other talent over. He would also use his "political power" in the back which I also dispise. I just got tired of seeing the guy on TV

Well the writers decided a couple days before NYR to give Edge the belt becasue Cena was getting booed pretty good the few weeks leading up to that. I still think they should have waited till WM and had a triple threat w/ HHH Cena and Edge.

Also on Rey Rey, there are talks that he might not even main event WM which is totally crap beacuse he is the most over wrestler in the WWE and has been even before Eddie's death.

Speaking on WM, I would love to see Shelton vs. RVD in a ladder match for the Intercont. belt, that match would own

No it's not just you, he has so much fat hanging over the side of his tights its not even funny.

Batista was looking pretty flabby before he left to have surgery. He couldn't work out because of a torn muscle in his back, though.

Then again, Batista will be 40 this year, so he's getting up there in years (for a professional wrestler).

The same thing happened with Brock Lesnar after he won the WWE Championship.

Randy Orton used to be pretty cut, too. Then he became World Heavyweight Champ.

I guess once you become champ, you don't have anything else to prove. That's especially the case with HHH, him begin a 11 or 12 time World Champ.

Batista will be 40!? Are you f'n kidding me?? Wow, I had NO idea he was that old. I FINALLY TiVoed Raw tonight (I just had this "craving" to see it if you will). Some of the hightlights:

-I don't know how she does it but Trish looks more delicious every time I see her

-Maria is unbelievably cute

-Shelton Benjamin was trying not to crack up during his ma/Eugene sketch in the back

-The HHH/Flair match was the best of the night

-It was great not only to see RVD wrestle, but that he won, AND beat Carlito (I REALLY hate him)

-I couldn't believe I saw Mick Foley or 'Hacksaw' Jim Dugan

PS - Where/when is Hulk Hogan gonna come back? I'm gonna try to keep TiVoing Raw so I can stay up with it. If Smackdown doesn't discontinue JBL's push I will not watch it (anyone have any news on that?). I'm sorry but I hate JBL and the Undertaker.

Every year there's some stupid national dog show that USA is so "compelled" to air and thus Raw gets bumped as a result. On an unrelated note, I watched TNA Wrestling last night and I hear that beginning in April, they're moving their show on Spike TV to Thursdays at 9PM EST (to compete with Smackdown I guess). I suggest some check it out. There's not a lot of "name" wrestlers (Jeff Jarrett, Christina, The Dudleys, Rhino) but the show's only an hour and entertaining

Speaking of TNA, at last night's PPV, Christian Cage (you know him as Christian from WWE) defeated Jeff Jarrett for the NWA World Heavyweight title.

The Rhino/Abyss match was absolutely insane. Rhino and Abyss were fighting up in the rafters. Then all of a sudden Rhino gored Abyss off the rafters, sending him crashing through 4 tables stacked on top of each other on the floor. I haven't seen anything like that since ECW.

Speaking of ECW, I still haven't received my DVD in the mail.

My girlfriend got me the Eddie Guerrero DVD for Valentine's Day (yea, I know, its a bit early). What a great DVD. The actual documentary special on there is rather short, but there are some incredible matches, and it also includes the "Los Guerreros Lie Cheat and Steal" vignettes that aired back during the Los Guerreros era.

My personal favorite match on that DVD is the 2 out of 3 falls Hair vs. Masks tag team match, pitting El Hijo del Santo and Octagon against Los Gringos Locos: Eddie Guerrero and "Love Machine" Art Barr. Lots of fast paced, high flying action. And this was before Eddie used the frog splash as his finisher. Art Barr was the one who patented and perfected the frog splash. After Art died, Eddie decided to use the frog splash in his memory.

Another incredible match on the 2nd DVD is the ladder match for the Intercontinental Champion, pitting Rob Van Dam against Eddie Guerrero. Probably the greatest ladder match I've ever seen, bar none.

The ECW "good-bye" match was a classic. Dean Malenko and Eddie were about to leave ECW for WCW, so they had one last match. They tore the house down in this classic Best 2 out of 3 falls match, ending in a tie. Malenko is too often overlooked when people discuss the greatest of all time. You got your Angles, Hart, Benoits, and Hogans, but watch a Dean Malenko match (especially if he's wrestling the likes of Benoit or Guerrero), and your views will drastically change. Malenko could wrestle someone like me and make me look good. That's how talented he is. Too bad he doesn't wrestle anymore.

All-in-all, a great DVD with a ton of great matches.

Glad to see Christain won the title last night. I kind of figured he would. Just a reminder tonight guys, NO Raw tonight because of that stupid dogshow Gotta wait 3 more days until Thursday

Whenever I remember its on. It comes on at such a bad time. Thankfully its moving to Thursday nights this April.

I happened to be at a friend's house, and he ordered the TNA PPV last night. I didn't know half the people that were wrestling, but I was impressed. TNA is a lot faster paced, a lot more high impact, if you will.

TNA has a lot of great talent. I give em another year or two before they become a serious competitor to WWE (unless Vince buys em out before that).

Yeah TNA is more fast paced. I lik Samoa Joe, he's pretty bad a$$ and of course I LOVE the Dudleyz. I still have NO idea why they left the WWE or why the WWE let them go??

I cant wait to see this Thursday. Also AAO last night was a great PPV. I was so happy when Christian won the NWA belt. And to answer that, the WWE released the Dudley boyz, I dont remember why though.

I think they didn't have any storylines for the Dudleyz. But any of the ECW generation would say just putting them out and there would be storyline enough.

I'm absolutely stoked to hear this. I have the WM21 DVD, and on the third disc, they have the Hall of Fame ceremony from last year, where Hulk Hogan was inducted. I have a feeling Bret Hart's induction ceremony may very well be just as emotional and memorable as that of Hogan's.

PWInsider reports that the Bret Hart-hall of fame deal was made on February 6. Bret had been saying he wasn’t interested, and always said he would never work for WWE again, however he decided that he would go in and do his speech. He is not getting paid, WWE is just sending him there, inducting him, and then he’s going home. Bret is not taking any money for this, and wants to use this as his farewell in WWE.

TNA had very much intended to make a deal with Bret big enough to snatch him out from under WWE. However, due to a family emergency Jarrett couldn’t make the meeting. If Jarrett had made the meeting, things very well could have turned out differently.

Will anybody else be inducted into the HOF besides Bret? Also will this be on TV?

I can't wait for Thursday night Raw, I'm hopeing Cena kicks Edge & Lita's ass again. It will be nice to see Mick Foley.

There's usually six or seven wrestlers inducted into the HOF every year. Last year, they inducted "Cowboy" Bob Orton, Nikolai Volkoff, The Iron Shiek, "Mr Wonderful" Paul Orndorff, "The Mouth of the South" Jimmy Hart (he's not a wrestler, but he's one of the greatest managers of all time), "Rowdy" Roddy Piper, and Hulk Hogan.

So far, this year, only Bret Hart has been officially announced. They usually announce another every week on RAW, until they've announced them all.

I've heard talk about Eddie Guerrero being inducted this year, as well. I think it's a bit premature to induct him, but I wouldn't be against it if they did.

I'm not entirely sure if they air it on television. I think they do, but I can't swear to it. Either way, it'll definitely be packaged in with the WrestleMania 22 DVD.

Just began watching this again, and still Kurt Angle IMO is the best technical wrestler around. I can't believe Flair is still going aswell.

Michael “Johnny Grunge” Durham Dead At The Age Of 39

We are deeply saddened to report that Michael Durham, better known as Johnny Grunge of the tag team Public Enemy has died. Durham, a sufferer of sleep apnea, was having trouble breathing and was taken to an Atlanta hospital where he was pronounced dead this morning. He was only 39.

Durham along with the late Ted “Rocco Rock” Petty were a major tag team attraction as “Public Enemy” during the pre-PPV era of ECW as well as a big run in WCW.

Vince's whole beef with HBK all stems from the now legendary Montreal Screwjob back in November of 1997 at Survivor Series.

Vince apparently wants to continue living in the past, so HBK told Vince to just let it go, and move on.

That seemed to anger Vince, and so now he's made it his life's purpose to make HBK's life a living Hell.

I think it should be HBK and Shane O Mac isntead of Vince.

And tonights No Way out should be a pretty good PPV

I finally watched Raw from Thursday last night after work. The HHH/Big Show match was the best of the night and I was so glad to see RVD advance. Hopefully he wins the triple threat tonight and goes on to Wrestlemania! I'm also becoming more of a fan of Shelton Benjamin. He's a great wrestler with a lot of energy (hopefully he gets an IC reign soon). Also, I heard Goldust was back but have yet to see him. I'm also missing the Immortal Hulk Hogan

Hopefully Shelton wins gold tonight against Flair. He has to win it, Flair needs to drop the belt. Also I really wish RVD would win, but trips no doubt win.

I'm glad Shelton won the IC. That match I thought started off great but then became kinda sloppy. I can't believe RVD lost. I can honestly say I expected him to win and was shocked when HHH won (although I shouldn't have). Why won't the WWE ever f'n make him a champion!? It was GREAT to see Marty Janetty and Shawn Michaels together again. Also, where is Paul Heyman hiding? I miss that dude

Im pretty sure Paul Heyman is head of OVW. Thats the E's development one in Kentucky. I was also pretty had to see Janetty come and save HBK. And thank god Shelton won gold.

When Carlito was talking and still beating that guy, I thought that was great. And by what he said, it looks like another Money in the Bank match at WM, which is gonna rock.

Raw wasn't too bad last night. What ever happened to Brock Lesnar? I remember he quit the WWE (when he was champion) to pursue his dream of playing football and he had tryouts with the Minnesota Vikings. I don't think he got picked up and I could have swore he went back to wrestling. Where is he now??

Lesnar is currently involved in a lawsuit against WWE because it says in his contract that he cannot work for any other promotion for a certain amount of time, and he breached that contract when he went to Japan and won the New Japan World Heavyweight title. Lesnar wants the WWE to let him out of that contract so he can pursue his career in Japan. At one point, there was talk of him coming back to the WWE, but he didn't because of a conflict of interests. When he became Champ, he became cocky (too cocky for his own good). He started acting like he didn't have to take orders from nobody, and that HE was the lockerroom leader, not the veterans (i.e. 'Taker, Angle and the like). That factored in to WWE not hiring him back.

Why are wrestlers becoming fatter and fatter, bigger and bigger, older and older? I can't believe it's full of the same old faces from when I used to watch it. Flair, McMahon, The Undertaker. Jesus.

Vince changed his mind and made it to a tag team. HHH,Vince vs. Cena,HBK. He made the ref. handcuff HBK and HHH to the ring ropes. But once Cena got the best of Vince, Vince unlocked HHH and HHH hit cena with the sledge hammer. HBK is still handcuffed and HHH hit him with the sledge to.

On another note, anyone watching WrestleMania tonight? I REALLY hope HHH doesn't win. He's currently the best wrestler in the business and I like him, but I REALLY don't think he needs, nor do I want to see him (at least right now) win his 11th title. The fact of the matter is, he doesn't NEED it!

I watched it last night. I read on a wrestling website that Bret Hart's acceptance speech was heavily edited by USA. It's said that his actual speech was somewhere between 30-45 minutes long. The speech they aired last night was edited down to about 7 minutes. We'll have to wait for the WM22 DVD to come out in a couple months to see the whole HOF Induction Ceremony.

I won't be ordering WM tonight. As for the HHH/Cena match, as much as HHH doesn't need another title, I honestly hope he kicks the sh*t out of John Cena. Cena has been Champ for a year now (losing the title only once, but regaining it 3 weeks later). His time is up. There's really no one else on RAW right now that is ready to be Champ, so it'll have to be HHH. Plus, I'm a huge mark for HHH.

I wanna see RVD champion so badly! I also wouldn't mind seeing Edge have a longer run

It's a wrestling cliche. When the WWE wants to introduce a new Tag-Team, they set them up against the current Tag Champs, and out of some miraculous twist of fate, the new team beats the Champs. When I heard the Spirit Squad were gonna face Kane/Big Show, I knew they were gonna win.

It happened with M&M on SmackDown, it happened with Team Angle, and it'll probably continue happening. I don't have a problem with it. It helps keep things interesting.

I wish they'd bring back Muhammad Hassan. He was the best heel I'd seen in a long time, very much akin to the great Iron Sheik. He left the WWE after the "terrorist angle" with The Undertaker. The WWE received so much flack for it, that Hassan decided it'd be best if he left the company. Funny thing is, Daivari is still around.

I miss Nikolai Volkoff.

Breaking News: ECW Returning Full-Time This September

PWInsider.com is reporting that WWE has made the decision to bring back ECW FULL-TIME.

The plan is to have the promotion return on a full-time basis in September. WWE officials have begun talking to former talent about returning to work for the promotion.

There has been no decision on how the company will be brought back just yet. It's possible that it will take over the present OVW territory, that it will be a promotion that gets matches on the Raw and/or Smackdown promotions or possibly in some other manner.

Paul Heyman and Tommy Dreamer will be booking ECW when it starts up.

WWE is offering talent three year deals which consist of a series of one year contracts with rollover clauses. The Sandman, Francine and Balls Mahoney are all being sent contreacts this week.

More Major News On ECW's Full-Time Return

In a follow-up to the story that we posted earlier about ECW returning full-time, the plan was said to be finalized in the last week or so.

WWE is not looking to add a third day to their television schedule. It is believed this will be a mix of both former ECW wrestlers and new WWE developmental wrestlers who have been working house shows under Paul Heyman.

Speaking of Heyman, he will be in charge of the ECW brand. The plan is to run house shows and some form of weekly television as well.

Dave Meltzer reports that it would likely be handled similar to the Superastros deal in the late 90s, with weekly matches taped before either the Raw or Smackdown tapings.

Vince is just pure evil.

I don't know if you noticed, but I just recently went on a wrestling DVD shopping spree. Here's what I got:

So far I've watched all 3 discs of the WM 22 DVD. Great stuff. Not only do you get the entire WW22 broadcast, but on the second disc you get the entire broadcast of WWE's return to "Saturday Night's Main Event", and the 3rd disc contains the 2006 WWE HOF Induction Ceremony...completely uncut.

I watched "The Rise and Fall of ECW" yesterday. It was far and away one of the best wrestling documentaries I've ever watched. Absolutely fantastic.

No prob man! Yeah I saw those DVD's in the DVD Discussion Thread. Sweet. I'm waiting on the next Hulk Hogan DVD. I've already got the 2-disc Hulk Still Rules DVD, but now I hear he's getting a 3-disc set I believe.

Yeah I need to get those ECW DVD's too. I saw The Rise and Fall of ECW and yes it was good. But on the DX DVD, I'm gonna order the DVD and t-shirt package for like under $20

The WWE has been hinting at a D-X return. Starting at WM22, Shawn Michaels did the D-X "crotch chop" before he dived off the ladder onto Vince McMahon. That same night, Triple H gave John Cena the D-X crotch chop. Over the last month or so, both Michaels and Hunter have been taking a lot of liberties with the "crotch chop." I've also been reading online that in the next month or so, at the next RAW PPV, D-X will indeed be making their return.

I also read that the WWE has been trying to get the New Age Outlaws to sign a new contract with WWE, but they're currently under contract with TNA. I'm sure if Vince wants them bad enough, and is willing to pay the price, he could get them.

They had better get the New Age Outlaws and return for DX! That'd be so AWESOME! When does TNA come on again? It used to be Saturday nights but when now? I haven't seen that in months. And I'm sure you've heard about ECW being on the Sci-Fi channel on June 13th

TNA now aires every Thursday night, at 11 p.m, on SPIKE. I haven't caught an episode yet (I just saw it on the website), but I'll definitely make a point of watching it this Thursday.

I hadn't heard about ECW on the Sci-Fi channel, though. I haven't caught too much WWE programming as of late because of 24. June 13 you said it was? I'll be sure to check it out!

JBL left SmackDown! because he's got some nagging injuries that need healing. Since he'll be out of action for a while...the GM job on RAW would be perfect for him. I've read rumors online that he may be the new GM for RAW. Only time will tell...

As for RAW tonight...its been so long since I've watched an entire episode...I didn't know what the hell was going on.

WWE RAW Opener:

RAW opened up saying tonight's episode of RAW is dedicated to the troops who defend the United States of America, as it is Memorial Day.

In the arena:

The music of Mr. McMahon hit in the arena to open up RAW as Jim Ross and Jerry Lawler welcomed us to the show, and tonight Triple H is going to try and Kill Kenny, and Mick Foley and Paul Heyman will have a face off. McMahon took the mic and said he's happy to be here tonight, but that wasn't the case several weeks ago when he wasn't happy at all. He said nothing can be worse than a family witnessing one of their own suffer which happened to his son Shane. Footage was shown of Triple H bashing Shane with the sledgehammer two weeks ago. McMahon said Shane is doing much better now. McMahon said that Shawn Michaels is no more, he was taken out last week by the Spirit Squad, and we take a look at that. McMahon said Shawn Michaels will never be the same. McMahon said he'd like to have a word with Michaels, and talks to the camera. The fans are chanting asshole at McMahon, and he says Michaels is hurt and upset, but nonetheless, there is a place here in the WWE for Michaels, he can do something like set the ring up or be a time keeper. McMahon said as good as he felt about that, there was an emptiness in his heart, and we take a look at Triple H taking out the Spirit Squad last week after Kenny grabbed his sledgehammer. McMahon asks who Triple H thinks he is, and tonight he will show his true colors as he goes one on one with Kenny of the Spirit Squad. McMahon then said he is supposed to announce a new General Manager tonight, but none of the candidates stand up to his expectations, but he has hired a new executive assistant and it's the Coach. Coach made his way down in a suit. Coach thanks McMahon and says per the order of the chairman of the board, the following matches will take place live tonight. First off, the WWE Champion John Cena will be in action here tonight and he will be facing a man he has never faced before, and leaves it to us to speculate. He said Cena is scheduled to defend the WWE Title against Rob Van Dam at ECW One Night Stand, but in four weeks time, RAW has a PPV event of it's own, Vengeance, and tonight there will be a contenders match between two former champions in Edge and the Big Show. Coach said there will be a title defended on RAW tonight as Shelton Benjamin defends against Kane, and on a personal note, he'd like to thank McMahon for this opportunity. McMahon said he'd like to see Triple H in his office right away, and Coach makes his way to the back as we get started with a bang as Kane makes his way to the ring.

Intercontinental Championship Match

Kane vs. Shelton Benjamin (c)

Shelton Benjamin's music hit as he made his way down as the Intercontinental Champion, and we are set to go!

The start:

Kane nailed a big uppercut and then went for a suplex but Shelton blocked and then hit a right hand, but ran into a clothesline from Kane. Shelton hit a kick to the head but then Kane tossed him to the apron and knocked him to the outside with a big boot to the head as we go to commercial.

Mid-match notes:

Back on RAW and Shelton is in control with a chin lock on Kane. During the break, Shelton sent Kane head first into the ring post. Back to live and Kane fought out of the chin lock but then Shelton hit a side kick. Kane sat up and Shelton ran into a big boot and then an uppercut. Kane hit a running clothesline in the corner, and then nailed a side slam. Kane went up top and nailed the flying clothesline. Kane signaled for the chokeslam and grabbed Benjamin by the throat but Shelton countered into an arm drag into a rollup with his feet on the ropes for a near fall. Shelton went for a heel kick but Kane hoisted him on his shoulder, but Kane reversed into a tornado DDT. Kane hit a splash on Kane in the corner, and went for another one but Kane grabbed him by the throat and nailed the chokeslam. The arena then went dark and the Kane mask appeared on the Titantron, and Kane's old music played.

Winner - No Contest

The Aftermath:

Kane stared on as the stage erupted, and then?Kane made his way down towards the ring, old mask, old outfit. Kane looked confused as hell. The masked Kane got in the ring and then grabbed Kane by the throat and gave him the chokeslam. He then set off the pyro and made his way to the back.

Backstage:

Coach is in the back asking Carlito where Triple H is, and Carlito said he didn't know. Coach then asked Alejandro, but he hasn't seen Triple H. Alejandro said that his name is ARMANDO ALEJANDRO ESSSSTRADA, and if Mr. McMahon needs anything, he is the hombre who has it. Coach said if he doesn't mind, he has to find Triple H. Alejandro was then grabbed by Viscera and he said last week he had his boy, Umaga, get into his business. Viscera said tonight he seeks revenge!

Backstage:

McMahon is in the back and Triple H arrives in the office, and they shake hands. Triple H asked if they had a problem, since he made Edge and Big Show number one contenders for the WWE Title. Triple H said the thing with Shane was an accident, and last week he was doing as he said until Kenny got involved. McMahon said he has no problem with that, but instead of Triple H vs. Kenny it'll be Triple H vs. Kenny with the Squad at ringside, in a Spiritjack Match. Triple H acted all happy, and said that was fabulous. He said tonight he will destroy Kenny, and the rest of the Spiritjack?offs, decide they want to get involved, then maybe he will bring a friend with him. Triple H then pulled out his sledgehammer as we go to commercial.

Viscera vs. Umaga

The music of Viscera hit in the arena as he made his way to the ring but Umaga came from behind and jumped him. Umaga hit an STO on the stage and Viscera looks to be out. Umaga picked up Viscera and gave him a throat thrust and then loaded him into the ring as Lilian looked on in concern.

The start:

Umaga went to the top rope and came off with a huge splash on Viscera. Umaga nailed the Samoan Spike and Viscera dropped to the canvas, and this one is over.

Winner - Umaga

Backstage:

Beth Phoenix and Torrie Wilson are shown talking in the back, and they are joined by Trish Stratus and they are making their way towards the arena as we go to commercial.

Beth and Victoria kicked things off with a tie up. Victoria hit a right hand and Beth came back with one of her own. Beth then nailed more right hands ad then hit a side slam for two. Torrie tagged in and they nailed a double team arm twist and chop on Victoria. Torrie nailed a clothesline in the corner and then pulled up her thong (hot) and hit the stinkface. Victoria got pissed and pulled Torrie down by the hair. Victoria followed up with a slam and then tagged in Candice.

Candice hit a vaderbomb from the middle rope and then hit an elbow drop for two. Victoria tagged in and went for the somersault leg drop but Torrie moved and both ladies made a tag. He said ECW is a bunch of wannabes, and then Rob Van Dam's music hit as he made his way to the ring as Mr. Money in the Bank and he joined Lawler and Ross on commentary. RVD said Tazz had the common sense to hang up the boots for good and Lawler should learn from his example. Lawler said RVD is in the big time and ECW is a step back for him.

The music of MNM hit in the arena and it's Johnny Nitro and Melina on RAW! John Cena's music then hit as he made his way to the ring as the WWE Champion and we are set to go.

The start:

Nitro taunted Cena and then Cena nailed a right hand to knock him down. Cena tossed him head first to the corner and then went for a charge, but Nitro moved. Nitro nailed a springboard dropkick and then his break dancing leg drop. Nitro nailed an uppercut and then some kicks to the gut. Nitro unloaded on Cena in the corner with stomps and then whipped Cena hard to the corner and hit a running elbow.

The Finish:

Nitro hit some forearms to the lower back but then Cena came back with a right hand. Cena unloaded on Nitro and then hit the flying shoulder. Cena hit a pair of clotheslines and then the spinning spinebuster followed by the Five Knuckle Shuffle. Cena went for the FU and nailed it before locking in the STFU for the win.

The Aftermath:

Melina checked on Nitro as Cena celebrated his win. Cena turned his attention to RVD at the booth and they had a stare down of sorts. RVD got on the apron and held up his briefcase and then Nitro went to jump Cena but Cena threw him into RVD knocking him off the apron. Cena made his way to the back and these two men will face off at ECW One Night Stand with the WWE Title on the line.

In the arena:

Paul Heyman and Mick Foley are in the ring and it's carpeted and has two podiums. Foley said it was sure great to see Melina tonight. Foley said he wants to thank Heyman because last week he levied some charges at him. He called him a prostitute, and Foley pleads guilty. Foley said everyone does things in WWE they don't want to do to get to the top. Foley said the only difference between the ECW Mick Foley and the WWE Mick Foley is that he traded in a no good pimp like him for a million dollar pimp like Vince McMahon. Foley said he gets vexed when he hears of the ECW One Night Stand PPV where himself and Edge will take on Tommy Dreamer and Terry Funk, and he doesn't see where he begins to get off claiming that they are what hardcore is all about, not after himself and Edge tore down the house at WrestleMania, but he wishes Paul luck with his pot smoking, porn addicted Foley ripoffs. Heyman said he misses that locker room, and his comments would mean more if they came from a guy who wasn't a Terry Funk rip off. Foley said he will admit that Terry Funk was the greatest wrestler he ever saw, he will admit that Tommy Dreamer had as much heart as anyone, but where they parted was the fact?Heyman said they didn't have the guts to pull out a sock and put it on their hand. Heyman asked Foley how many title shots he got before the sock? Foley said Funk and Dreamer had bingo hall balls and didn't have what it took to ply their craft on the main stage of WWE, and that was the gutsiest thing he did. Foley said Heyman doesn't hate him because he sold out, he hates him because you either left ECW as a drunk, a drug addict, a criminal or a corpse, but he left as a hardcore legend and one of the biggest stars this business has seen.

Heyman said it's not what he's accomplished, it's what he's become. Heyman called Foley an ass kissing whore. Heyman said at One Night Stand, Foley and Edge will experience that Dreamer and Funk are more than capable of standing up to the standards of Hardcore, but he wants him and Edge to pay attention to the new vision of ECW. ECW won't just be about hardcore, for example, ECW is coming back full time and anyone from RAW and Smackdown can jump to ECW and McMahon has given him two draft picks. Foley said he wants to guess the draft pick, and he guesses Rob Van Dam. Foley said he's a great choice, but the only reason RVD liked the old ECW is because he was a "high flyer". Heyman said when RVD becomes WWE Champion at One Night Stand and rechristens it the ECW World Title, and was about to announce his Smackdown pick. Heyman said it's someone who embodies the new vision of ECW and he'd like to introduce us to him. Kurt Angle's music hit! KURT ANGLE IS ECW! Angle made his way down to the ring to a huge pop and Angle tackled Foley and hammered away at him. Angle gave Foley the Angle Slam and Foley rolled to the outside. Rob Van Dam and Kurt Angle have been drafted to ECW!

The music of the Big Show hit in the arena as he made his way to the ring for this number one contender match with Edge, and the winner will face the WWE Champion at Vengeance.

The start:

Edge nailed some right hands but Show came back with a knee to the gut and then a headbutt. Show silenced the chop and then nailed Edge with a huge chop. Show nailed another chop and then hit a big boot to the face. Lita grabbed Show's boot and he dragged her into the ring by his leg. Edge came back with right hands off the distraction and then went for a cross body but Show caught him and gave him snake eyes in the corner. Edge rolled to the outside and Show pulled him onto the apron by his hair but Edge hot shotted him. Edge went to the top and Show tossed him down into the ring.

The Finish:

Show went for a splash in the corner but Edge hit a dropkick to the knee. Edge nailed a tornado DDT and went for the Spear but Show grabbed him by the throat and went for the chokeslam but Edge grabbed the referee to escape. Edge grabbed a chair and went to nail Show but he swatted it away but then Lita came from behind with a low blow. Show grabbed Lita by the throat and then Edge nailed Show with a chair to the head and speared him for the win!

Backstage:

Triple H is walking in the back with his sledgehammer and bumps into McMahon. McMahon said he wants to clear the air and wishes him the best of luck out there. Vince checks out the sledgehammer and asks if it is the same sledgehammer that he hit Shane with. McMahon said he has so much confidence in Triple H, he doesn't think he needs his friend. Vince walked off with the sledgehammer as we go to commercial.

The Spirit Squad are in the ring and do a chant for Kenny, who then makes his entrance. The music of Triple H then hit as he made his way down for this Spirit Jack Match, with all of the Spirit Squad at ringside.

The start:

Triple H nailed Kenny with a right hand, and then more big knockdown punches. Triple H sent Kenny head first to the corner, and Kenny bailed to the outside. Triple H pulled Kenny onto the apron but Kenny hotshotted him. Kenny sent Triple H head first to the corner, but Triple H came back with a running clothesline. Kenny takes control again with a right hand but then ran into a high knee. The Squad are on the apron and Johnny has the referee distracted. Triple H went for a Pedigree but another Squad member got on the apron and Triple H went after him and sent him into the ring steps. Triple H then got back in the ring and tossed Kenny to the outside as we go to commercial.

Mid-match notes:

Back live and Triple H is still in control of Kenny and the Squad pulled Kenny to the outside for a breather. Triple H followed out and nailed right hands but then Mitch came from nowhere and nailed the Game. The Squad stomped away at Triple H and then sent him back into the ring where Kenny covered for two. Kenny hit a spinning back elbow for another two count. Kenny choked Triple H over the middle rope and then Mitch got in the ring to distract the referee while Mikey choked away at Triple H some more. Triple H came back sending Kenny shoulder first into the ring post. Mikey and Mitch got on the apron and the referee was distracted and then Johnny got in the ring and hit the Johnny Go Round on Triple H for two. Kenny tossed Triple H to the outside and the Squad hammered away at the Game.

Kenny mocked Shawn Michaels with the Sweet Chin Music and went for it but Triple H ducked and then hit a DDT. The two traded right hands with Triple H coming out on top. Triple H got a boot in the corner but then Nicky tripped him on the outside and pulled him into the ring post, and wrapped his leg around it. Kenny covered for two and then worked over the knee of Triple H. Kenny distracted the referee allowing Mitch to get a cheap shot in on the knee. Kenny pulled off Triple H's knee pad and he then slapped the Game and hit a leg snap. More of the Squad got on the apron while another held Triple H for Kenny top go for the top rope leg drop but Triple H kicked him off into the ropes and it knocked Kenny off the top.

The Finish:

Triple H hit the facebuster on Kenny and then a clothesline before unloading with right hands in the corner. Triple H ate boot in the corner but then Kenny ran into a spinebuster. Triple H went for the Pedigree but then more of the Squad got on the apron and Triple H knocked him down. Nicky charged at the Game but he tossed him over the top into the rest of the Squad. Triple H then nailed the Pedigree for the win.

The Aftermath:

The Squad all got in the ring and stomped away on Triple H. Triple H rolled to the outside where the Squad held him and took turns on hitting huge right hands. The slammed Triple H into the announce table. They held up the ring apron and mocked that the sledgehammer wasn't there. Johnny has a steel chair and Triple H then crawled to the time keeper table and pulled out his sledgehammer. The Squad pooped themselves ands Triple H went after all of them with the hammer. McMahon then comes out and congratulates Triple H, but he has another challenge for him next week, and he sees him joining a certain club. How about next week on RAW, Triple H joins the Mr. McMahon Kiss My Ass Club! Triple H looked worried as RAW went off the air.

Man, I think that whole shit about the D-Generation X revival is....pointless.

Sure it would bring some nostalgic feelings back, but what else is the point besides the WWE reusing a previous gimmick to make some nice cash on the T-shirts and tickets?

Still, the angle so far with Triple H slowly molded from the usual heel to fan favorite with him refusing to be a tool, it works so far.

As for ECW, too bad Shane Doulgas and Corino won't come back, but at least we've got several of the great ECW guys back from The Sandman(you know, the beer guzzling, cigarette chain-smoking bastard of whom the WWE basically ripped off into a repackaged redneck safer gimmick in Austin), Sabu, Lance Storm, Dreamer, Funk, etc.

Still, Lance Storm hopefully returns to form. He was really one of the best performers in the business while at ECW, until he decided to go into WWF, and man....that was fucking sad to watch. I mean you have a guy that PWI and other wrestling rags would annually name one of the top 10 wrestling performers in the business, and along with Beniot and Jericho was one of the few that many people admittedly were willing to pay to watch wrestle. Then he goes to the WWF, and what does Corporate HQ do? They create some sillyness about him being "boring", and what do the marks in the crowds do? They follow along.

As for the reformation of ECW, potentially it could work. If anything, its like WWE's 2nd try at trying to make for a legitimate-looking "rival "towards the RAW brand, for really that was why they had that whole split between RAW and SMACKDOWN, the idea being a major rivalry between two major brands, like WWF and WCW in the 1990s, except of course WWF would make a shitload of money off both sides.

The problem is that nobody takes SMACKDOWN's roster seriously. If anything, with the ECW "drafting" of the great Kurt Angle, we witness possibly what I assume will happen, which is that the WWE will "merge" SMACKDOWN and RAW eventually, and of which in a storyline angle, it will be a corporate "consilidation" in the face of this would-be insurgent ECW.

As for Kurt Angle in ECW, thats brilliant. Really, I hope ECW becomes what at its best it was, I mean besides the psychotic hardcore fights and shit. I mean the great technical wrestling matches between real athletic men instead of overpushed beef sticks. I want wrestling matches, not "sports entertainment" that makes for easy gay jokes. Better yet, how about no more women's wrestling as well? Hey, I'm for hot valets and such, but watching them wrestling is....boring. Yes they're hot, but trust me, unless we'll get some more sex involved, its really juvenile teasing. Just my dime on that topic.

My prediction? Van Damm somehow is put over Cena, possibly with inteferrence help, and thus this war begins, with Van Damm repeating what Shane Doulgas did more than 13 years ago: He'll take the WWE title and re-christen it the "ECW Championship".

I love the DX storyline. I agree with you that it's nothing more than a money machine but I don't care, I'm all for it. As for ECW, I'm REALLY excited to watch it because I never did when it was on TV previously. It'll be on Sci-Fi beginning June 13th I believe. And yes, I know RVD will beat Cena, take the title and call it their own.

I remember one Royal Rumble in particular (can't remember the year), but Earthquake ended up eliminating his partner, Typhoon.

decent program last night, but I sorta didn't care for basically a 2 hour informercial for this sunday's PPV or the upcoming ECW television program.

That was great yesterday, good hype for ONS II Sunday. And the commentating was so great and it was cool to see King and Tazz get so into it. King is doing a good job of getting heat by talking down ECW.

I was suprised when big show went to ecw. Crazy stuff, and the crowd was hot as hell, so into the matches, good to see that. I cant wait till sunday, and Cena better win

Yeah the commentating was good last night and the Tazz/Lawyer brawl was pretty enjoyable but I'm getting tired of hearing the King backmouth ECW. He did the EXACT same thing last year and he's just repeating the same sh*t this year. I'm tired of it already

Well, certainly there was some good heat from a legendary vet like Lawler and Tazz. However, the match itself I assume it won't be match, since Lawler, despite my sincere respect of THE KING, is well-aged and over-weight, while Tazz....is over-weight as well. Still, if Tazz or King make the match better than it does on paper, I'll give them kudos.

Big Show turn - Well, any turn that catches me by surprise is always good.

Like Lawler and Tazz, there is good "heat" between Foley and Terry Funk. I predict though that Dreamer and Funk will be put under for Foley/Edge.

My other predictions(so far) for sunday's PPV:

*RVD over Cena
*Mysterio over Sabu(should be a fun match to watch, though Mysterio and RVD had a great match)
*Tazz over Lawler
*Angle over Orton (really, Orton is in my opinion, one of the most over-pushed wrestlers I've seen in some time. Batista and even Cena these days have gotten the pop from the crowds, but Orton? Despite a WWE title reign, hes still needs work. Still, hes at least more interesting to watch than Chris Masters)

If I read it right you mean Orton gets the best crowd reactions (most over). If thats the case, no way in hell, Orton gets no reaction what so ever. Hell Cena's half boo's and half cheer's is more over then Orton. But Trips and Angle get the biggest pops each time they go out.

Irish, that IS a good point about the old-school WCW Heavyweight belt, I mean why not? Besides, Mysterio's title-reign has been on borrowed time for a good while.

If anything, if THAT happens, then it further could happen that WWE will eventually "merge" RAW and SMACKDOWN into one corporate "united" brand to cope with this strong insurgency that is ECW.

Thing is, as much as I think the WWE has really been pushing Orton, despite the fact that fans and smarks alike don't like him, its interesting, but who's heard those stories of his real back-stage sexual harrasment incidents? To quote someone at the time, if he wasn't considered such a future investment by HQ, he would have been fired by now.

Funny enough, despite my displeasure at Orton, Masters I think is even worse off. At least Orton has the gimmick of being the "legend killer", but Masters is boring as both a wrestler and mike-man. Again, a glorius beef stick.

Interestingly, my local newspaper's weekly wrestling column was rather upbeat with Angle's entry into ECW, writing how "will the WWE actually make ECW into the product that we smarks really want, as in superb technical and insane wrestling?" Hopefully!

Now I was pleased to see Sabu was better in-shape than I figured, considering his infamous knee problems, on wednesday.

In fact Irishman, I think Cena may actually will prevail on sunday. If anything, imagine his victory against such a vile and piss vinegar atmosphere that is ECW fandom, and of course an entire ECW locker room. I mean, surely this will increase his "persona" with fans, and why not? We always like people outnumbered and still swinging it for the fences, which was emphazized on monday, though really why Cena needed to telegraph this, blame the writers.

Did anyone beside me laugh when Styles went off on that tagent of before entering pro wrestling, "The Sandman" had spent his years inbetween rugby and prison. For some reason, that made me laugh.

I bought my son the WM22 dvd. I was watching the HOF dvd with him and I can't believe how different Bobby the Brain looks. Has he been sick? That's a good dvd. Mignon, well basically in reality, leaving the kayfabe behind, Ric Flair did in fact reportedly call Foley a "glorified stuntman". In response, I remember Bret Hart in his column at the time then proceeded to lay the smack at Flair for using the same ring routine in all of his matches.

Well, Flair's body does make me wince.

However, who remembers that RAW match many many many months back with Flair and Angle? While Angle is truely a wrestling machine, and Flair about as convincing as the President and "Mission Accomplished", they still did a good match overall, or at least much more interesting than one would think.

Better yet, that ladder match where RVD won the "title shot/money in the bank" gimmick, Flair did better than expected to me, especially in such a thing as a Ladder Match of all things.

I saw the replay of Cena's match with RVD at the ECW PPV, and I tell ya, the heat in that building was insane. Besides the now-legendary "If Cena Wins, We Riot" sign, I loved it when Cena threw his shirt into the crowd, and some dude who caught it threw it back. Whatever it was scripted or not, it was good storytelling.

Of course Irish. Is this gonna be a weekly show or just like Saturday night's Main Event on once in awhile?

ECW will be on the Sci-Fi channel for only 12 or so weeks, which then according to plan, it'll jump to the USA Network.

So far, its not bad. I mean Sandman, drunk and dangerous as always, took out "The Zombie" in 5 seconds, though I wonder if that silly shit was like a slap at the WWE with their cartoonish nonsense.

Though Angle wrestling with Justin Credible for 4 minutes was disapointing. Really, I thought ECW was supposed to bring 15-minute matches for our pleasure, instead of cheap pops for some WWE PPV.

I LOVED ECW's show tonight and can't wait for it again next Tuesday!

Glad to see Sabu win the battle royal. That match was just screaming "BIG SHOW BIG SHOW!!!" Here's hoping that Sabu completely eviscerates John Cena.

But besides the Angle match and the Battle Royal...it really wasn't a very impressive showing. ECW just BEGS to be 2-hours long. 1 hour just isn't enough.

I'm sure it'll get better as the weeks go by, though. Hopefully when they make the jump to USA, USA will grant them a 2-hour time slot.

That squash match with Justin Credible was disappointing. I hope this was just a one time thing with him trying to show Angle off, I heard Angle was gonna sorta do like a MMA in ECW and that looks true. But Justin is to good to be in these squash matches. lol thats the best name in wrestling, Justin Credible, I love it.

Really, I agree in that ECW is a 2 hour show, not a 1 hour teaser. But once the Sci-Fi Channel contract runs out in 11 weeks, it'll move to USA and get what it needs...hopefully.

I agree, that would have been a hoot. I saw Malenko twice live, and while we had beefsticks that gave uninspiring main event jobs(Lex Luger, Nash, etc.), he always was A-game. To think the best of both matches I saw was against another quite talented career mid-card man:



Both were professionals that knew, as only the best can provide, how to tell a story within the ring.

People though swear to me that the best House shows with Malenko was his assignments against his equal contemporary master tactical wrestler: Chris Beniot.

Anyway XXX, you remember back in the 1990s, that absolutely brilliant storyline involving the feud between Malenko and easily in my list of Top Ten Best Wrestlers of All Time That I've Seen: Chris Jericho, who asserted himself as the "Man of 1,004 Moves". Still, I'll never forget seeing Jericho going to the ring with his "Jericholic Ninjas", who were two sweaty fat middle-age dudes. Now that was a good rivalry of the kayfabe tradition.

Still, Malenko's career best that I witnessed was Slamboree, 1998. He entered a cruiserweight battle royale as a masked mysterious opponent, after being out of action for months.

To think there was originally a planned Malenko/Beniot match at sunday's ECW PPV, but nixed due to Beniot's injuries.

Speaking of Dean Malenko, Simon Dean's name is in tribute to him seeing as Dean Malenko's real name is Dean Simon.

You know, its funny, but at last night's ECW premiere, the Big Show had more pop from the crowd than Cena did, and remember folks, WWE itself thought the great ratings last week for the WWE/ECW special was because of Cena.

Well tonight's RAW was actually entertaining...for once. It's been getting stale for the past few months (the "God" storyline...and this stupid new "Kane")...the whole D-X thing actually went over pretty damned good, IMO. Maybe it's just "nostaliga", but I haven't enjoyed RAW this much in a long time.

It'd be GREAT if the New Age Outlaws came to D-X's rescue...I just don't see it happening. Both Jesse James (BG James) and Billy Gunn (Kip James) are under contract with TNA. But hey...stranger things have happened...and Vince McMahon is loooooooooooooooooooooaded (in my best Ron White voice).

First of all I think JR is great. He always makes me laugh. For example he said Nitro's coat was made of road kill.

The Spirit Freaks getting slimed was great. And the midget Spirit Squad were funny mooning the spirit freaks.

I think Edge's mic skills have improved tremendously since becoming a heel. The WWE are trying to mold him into the top heel on RAW...and they're doing a pretty job.

I was kind of flabbergasted last night, though. When Edge got the 3-count, the crowd gave a HUGE pop. I don't know if its because they were happy the WWE title was back on RAW...or if they were happy that ANYONE one except for Cena (I'm leaning towards the latter.)

The D-X stuff was pretty funny last night. The Melina and Trish segments stand out in my mind.

The WWE is doing their best to re-use the Rock mold, from the "wiseass tough guy" mic routine persona, to a quite familiar finishing move that roughly is quite like the "People's Elbow" (stand over smacked on the mat opponent, do some arm movement to which the crowds know what is gonna happen, then run back and forth on the ropes, and then DROP on the sucka!)

The WWE is using a cover story...but its because of the drug charges.

Yeah they had it up on their website that Sabu and RVD got busted for drugs. I wasn't surprised at all to see RVD lose, just pissed. Is he only going to be gone for 30 days or is that just the cover story the WWE is giving?

So, I didn't want to start a new thread, and since this is wrestling related, I'm putting it here. And theres nuttin you can do to stop meh.

I met this guy earlier today:


Mike Jones, aka Virgil. He was at the mall, looking mightly lonely as a matter of fact, signing autographs and stuff. Nice guy. He practically quizzed me though. I saw "WWE Wrestler" and went over to the table... and he had a bunch of picture laid out.. He asked if we watched wrestling, I said I did. And I don't know, I guess I don't look like the type?

So he quizzed me on who was in the pictures, what their finishers were, and who my favorite wrestler was.

I named them all. Because I rule. Million Dollar Man Ted DiBiase, Rowdy Roddy Piper, Hulk Hogan (duh), the British Bulldog. All. I rule. His first comment to me before I proved myself to him was "I bet your favorite wrestler is John Cena, huh?"

To which I replied "Oh my god. No. I can't stand him. Maybe if he had more than 4 moves, he'd be decent. F-U, STFU, Five Knuckle Shuffle, and the occasional kick or punch. My favorite has to be the icon, the main event, the show stoppah, HBK."

I know I sounded like a dork. But I don't give two shits. Girls can watch wrestling too, dammit.

But yeah, that was my day.

Bogey, I wasn't necessarily implying you liked John Cena at all. I was just make a generalization. When I started to watch wrestling again weekly, Cena seemed to be loved by all. Since then, the crowd is about 50-50 and that's why I claim there's a "I hate Cena bandwagon" (not necessarily accusing you of such activities). Sorry for the confusion.

As for Mig, I still like John Cena, I hope I didn't come off as saying I hated him. I'm just glad the title is on someone else and someone I like more (a la Rob Van Dam, for however a short period of time it was). Now I'm glad to see Edge with it. I'm just happy to see new guys with the title instead of the same old mix (Stone Cold Steve Austin, The Rock, The Undertaker, HHH, etc).

The crowd is fickle. They like/hate Cena when Vince says they can like/hate Cena.

I was never a big fan of John Cena. I've always been somewhat neutral. I'm just sick of seeing him as Champ.

None of those guys have had the title in years.

I know Stone Cold and the Rock haven't seen they don't wrestle anymore, but I can remember a time (especially when Goldberg was in the WWE) that the WWE title ran through HHH. HHH would win it, lose it to someone, win it back from them, lose it to someone else, win it back from that person, etc.

When HHH had his run as Champ...its basically boiled down to the fact that there were very few other guys available to put the RAW title on. Goldberg's run in WWE was a joke.

Plus...HHH is the Game. He's undoubtedly the best in the business (I've seen him numerous times in person). That's not suggesting that I think he's the greatest technical or amateur wrestler the WWE has...but he is a great technical wrestler...he's great on the mic...he's the total package.

Then again...I'm a huge mark for HHH, so I'm biased.

I like HHH too and think he's probably the best wrestler in the business today. However, I like to see new guys with the titles (ESECPAILLY guys who never got it before), like the Chris Benoits, RVD's, Edge's, Booker T's (still waiting on his first run). As for Goldberg, I enjoyed seeing him in the WWE but think his "flop" if you will was due to the WWE and their booking. Remember when the nWo came into the WWF!? Man I was so excited to see Hulk Hogan, Scott Hall and Kevin Nash back in the WWF. And what happened? A completel water-down version from WCW that wasn't together more than a few months because Hulk Hogan turned in his black and white colors for the red and yellow (which I didn't mind). In any case, I think the WWE is to blame just as much as Bill Goldberg.

Nothing much. He accepted Orton's invitation to fight at SummerSlam. Orton came out and they just jawed with each other. Orton came down to the ring, acted like he was gonna get in and when he jumped back one time, he landed on the announcers table. Orton told the King to "get his hands off of him" so with Orton's back to him, the King threw Orton into the ring with Hogan who did his 3 big rights and went for the big boot but Orton slide out of the ring and that was pretty much it.

Damn! SD! and ECW was so fucking great tonight. I forgot how awsome it was to go watch them live and its soo cool. Also, you dont realize how HUGE some of them are on tv. Big Show, Kane, and Kali are just freaking huge. So great, Mr. Kennedy in person is cool as hell.

SD! was ok, basically the re-matches from GAB. The Diva search was total waste of time, but other then that it was great. Only thing I'm disappointed in is, ECW came to Detroit and Sabu whos from MI didnt even get a match and I missed seeing Kurt Angle by a week. Also the dark match after ECW was Kali and Big Show v. Undertaker and Kane so maybe the Bros. Of Destruction are coming back, one can hope :p

Not a bad match between the Big Show and Kane but Sabu had better win that title and quickly!

It was a ok match, I hoped for some more Hardcore spots but it was ok in the end. Also when we were there, you could have got this thing where you can order WM 23 tickets before they go on sale to the public, they have to been mailed in before Aug. 11th and Im thinking about doing it. Kinda steep though, the most expensive are $750 and least are 30. The 750 are I guess are ringside and you get to keep the chair you sit in.


Also for SD! two things for this week, I think the Kennedy/ Batista fued will work out better then the Henry one and Finlay got a nice pop when he came out so maybe he will be the face against Regal.

I'm becoming a big fan of Mr. Kennedy. The guy's got charisma...his mic skills are exceptional for being a rookie. I think he's got a lot of potential.

I hate him almost as much as I hate Carlito. Nothing against the people who are fans of them, but I think there gimmicks SUCK and I'm tired of seeing them take up air-time (but that's just me)

Carlito's gimmick is perfect for him and he's way over with the fans.

You know Irishman that I thought Carlito was both a bland persona and a boring wrestler, but now I think the writers have found something that matches with the character.

Besides, at least Carlito has some heat with the fans, unlike a certain "Legend Killer" :p

Yeah I'll give you that. Some talent can make it and some can't. Brock Lesner and John Cena certainly were wrestler's who shot straight to the top. Unfortunately, in my eyes, Orton, Carlito and Mr. Kennedy haven't arrived there yet (and are just redundent and piss me off week-after-week). I'll tell you about a young talent that I really dig, the former Intercontinental champion himself, Mr. Shelton Benjamin. Not the greatest at cutting a promo but he's VERY athletic and entertaining to watch in the ring.

BTW, what ever happened with Brock? I remember he left the WWF to play football for the Vikings and that never worked out and then next thing I heard, he sued the WWF. What for and why didn't he come back to wrestling after football? Also, what's he doing now?

Last I heard about Brock was that UFC offered him a contract to do some fights. And yes Shelton is great, I think AAE should jump to Shelton and be his manager, because thats all he needs.

I'm not sure if Brock was actually offered a deal to fight with the UFC...but I know the UFC said they were definitely interested in him.

Since leaving the WWE and failing to be recruited by the Vikings, Lesnar joined New Japan Pro Wrestling and won the IWGP Heavyweight title.

Lesnar sucked on the mic...but I was a huge fan of his. I would have loved to see him square off against Batista or Bobby Lashley...or Umaga.

Kurt was taken off the road for 30 day's. They havent really given a reason, but most believe it was for pain killers. He's coming back next week on ECW.

Also I think Vince is doing a good job on keeping his word about their new wellness program.

Brock had a no-compete clause in his contract that kept him from signing with any other wrestling/fighting organization until January of 2010. Lesnar filed a lawsuit against the WWE to try and get out of the contract. The suit was eventually settled.

Lesnar met up with Vince sometime last year to negotiate a return...but nothing came of it.

A big problem with Brock Lesnar is a lot of the Superstars in the back said he had a huge ego once he became champ. They said he wasn't easy to get along with. I'm sure that factored into his not being re-hired by the WWE.

Lesner was yet another "dominating" beef stick of a wrestler that was boring. I mean Irish, you forgot his last match against Goldberg, where the crowd just booed both of them? Of course, there was boos at Lesner before it was announced that he was OUT.

Lesnar wasnt the greatest but by no means was he as bad as you make him out to be.


ALso, Masters has been taken off the road since May for drugs. Dont know when he will come back. Also someone asked about Dupree I think. He had a hernia(sp?) and took time off and was healing and last I heard he was back to wrestling in OVW and I even think dark matches before raw.

Also I cant wait to Harry Smith debuts on RAW. He's the son of the british bulldog for those that dont know and also cant wait for CM Punk to finally be used in the WWE next week.

I'm not saying Brock Lesner was the greatest wrestler of all time. I'm not saying he's better than Bret 'The Hitman' Hart. I'm simply saying he's a great wrestler for his size. He's not some Kane or Undertaker who just paces around, choke slams you/last ride from hell and that's the match. The motherf*cker tried a backflip off the top rope at WrestleMania and almost nailed Kurt Angle with it. He was entertaining to watch and was great for his size. He was athletic, muscular, dominating/intimadating, etc.

Any news on when he might or not yet? I didn't know he had a son in wrestling.

Well they were gonna have him come in June, but obiviously that never happened. Also he's was one of the first that ran out when they had that ECW vs WWE show. I was like he just screwed up


But he's like 6'6 and only 20. I saw a few of his matches from Canada and he looks sweet. Like a bigger version of his father.

Smackdown didn't come on in my area again! (I think the Yankee game did).

Umaga aka Jamal is great for how big he is. And before you say anything, watch his matches from Japan and tell me the guy doesnt have talent. Also he has the best manager, AAE is great on the mic and he's over as a heel with the fans. I wish they would let him manage Shelton.

Maybe he has talent, but I hate when WWE rush something that needs time to boil. Don't you hate it when they do that now, having to rush the fuck out of everything?
