Ubisoft? Besides Splinter Cell waht the hel l have they done? Rocky? Laughable.
It's not coming out for Gamecube because GC sucks.
Seriously, GC is a kiddy console (Wow Resident Evil! Mario anyone?) And EA isn't gonna waste money on a game that isn't gonna sell on GC.
Awww, I always rated you highly. But not anymore.
How can you possibly say the Gamecube is kiddy??? Because Nintendo's own games are often colorful, which BTW means NOT easy.
The line-up of the Xbox, on the contrary is so overrated.
I have a Cube, and I also bought an xbox cause it was cheap. But I don't nearly play it as much as I play on my Cube. Forza is a good game, and Conker is great (remake of a Nintendo game
). I also have Halo, and while I see the quality it has, it doesn't impress me. And I see nothing more in the line-up, that isn't available for the Cube, that I wanna have. Star Wars Kotor, and Ninja Gaiden, but that's it. The reason the Xbox is succesful is marketing, not the games.
And when I see the top-40 of best xbox-games, I see maybe 20 sport-games like Madden 2001,02,03,04,05, NHL, whatever. Games that really NO ONE is interested in, in Europe. So a lot of the succes is due to the American market. In Europe, the Xbox isn't nearly as strong as in the USA. In Japan, the xbox is nothing. Even the PS1 was outselling it until 2004, and the original GBA sells even now 5 times more than the xbox in Japan.
As for Ubisoft: They've done more than Splinter Cell. Just out of nowhere I can think of: Prince of Persia Sands of Time (good), Warrior Within (still good), Splinter Cell 1,2,3 ; King Kong, the heavily underrated Beyond good and Evil (even heard of this game???). And they've done more, this is just what I can think of right now.
How many other developer have made such games in the past years? Right, not many.
They belong certainly to the top-developers.
(Wow Resident Evil! Mario anyone?)
And what do you mean by that?
Resident Evil4 is a killer-game, I don't think I saw more than 5 magazines/websites giving it less than 95%. And Mario usually delivers good games. While he didn't had any platformers since 2002, his sport-games are always very fun. They're solid, not exceptional, but in multiplayer, they're great. You shouldn't feel too grown-up for them. I know very adult-like people, always playing games like GTA, and they tried Mario Kart. We went on, and on, and on...that was fun!!
And EA isn't gonna waste money on a game that isn't gonna sell on GC
Why wouldn't it. Violent games sold in the past for the Cube. Following the 'rules' , Cube-players are supposed to be very not-mainstream, hardcore games, exactly the kind of people who would play a difficult game like that.
And okay, it will come for the PS3, it won't for the Cube, but I'm still hoping it will come for the Revolution. That's possible since Nintendo still didn't throw any specs, or footage of the Revo. But at least that's honest. Cause all those nice 360 movies of the E3, were running on G5-powermacs. The PS3-movies were also running on computers.
Honest?
Or naive?
