David Chase is overrated. He is not very good.

Chase gets all the credit for the Sopranos but lets be real here. He's overrated as a producer/writer, a one hit wonder really in modern tv.

What has he done since the Sopranos? Nothing. His failed bullshit project the Many Saints of Newark was a joke and should have never been made to begin with.

Bottom line.........Chase fucking sucks balls.

His writing is not very good. Who the fuck drinks Lord Calvert? Who uses the phrase " You sure are chipper today."

Hard to make that claim about a guy who wrote one of the greatest tv shows of all time (the best in my opinion). Set the stage for shows like Breaking Bad, The Wire, Deadwood, etc. Guy wrote and created arguably the best tv show ever as well as arguably the most influential. You are right in that he hasn't done much outside the Sopranos, but he really doesn't need to.

The Sopranos would change television for all time. But it was HBO who gave him that chance.

The episodes get better as you get deeper into the series.
