Question - 04/28/19 07:03 PM

I noticed something last night, in the scene where they all meet at Tony's house after his Mother dies and they have her service, if you notice when Janice starts asking everyone to say something and it cuts to Tony, if you pay attention to the background someone walks down the stairs, looks and then walks back up the stairs. Who would be upstairs in Tony's house? lol Both kids were downstairs with everyone gathered talking about Tony's mother.

I wonder if it was an extra or some worker of if that was planned?

Tony's mother.

I remember that. Maybe Chase wanted you to think the house was haunted or something.

Like Big Pussy appearing in the mirror after they killed him

Re: Question - 04/29/19 03:27 AM

They have said that it was an extra that used the bathroom and accidentally came down during the take and saw they were filming and then went back up. Instead of cutting it out, they left it in, thinking it was funny the actor had a reaction that made it seem like he was avoiding the awkward scene with the "remembrance" of Livia and not because he didn't want to blow the take coming down the stairs. Just a "happy accident" that worked out. I love that guy's "oh shit!" reaction. I thought it was Uncle June at first. *it's not*

Thanks Goldy. That’s interesting. Never heard that before. Sometimes the best things that happen go unplanned.

Not saying I don't believe you, but I'd love to read where they talked about that. Was it on DVD or in print or something?

To me it looked like it was part of the scene with Junior comin down the stairs and thinking....” no fuckin way “ did he want to be in this and turned back up stairs.

Sounds right. Don’t think Tony ever seen him again until he was settled in the nut house where the dumb ass kid did not have the balls to whack him.

I don't remember where I read it, it was a few years back now, but it was straight from the person that directed that particular episode and they were specifically asked about that scene and Pussy appearing in the mirror. I just remember it because of how that complete accident perfectly fit the scene so well. That guy probably couldn't have pulled off that reaction on purpose and they obvioulsy wouldn't have thought to have him do it in the first place.

And it's clearly not Uncle June, Carmella wouldn't have had him in the house at that time and I doubt he scaled the wall and came thru an upstairs window. He would have been included in the scene had he been in the house.

Agree on Junior, Goldy. I'll try to Google your info and see if I can find it. I was late to the Sopranos due to me not having cable growing up (or satellite) so until a few years ago I never seen every episode and/or interviews. Maybe we can find it, I just find it interesting that happened but I figured it was a deal where they didn't want to stop the scene just because he came down the stairs. Thanks again

Re: Question - 05/31/19 11:17 PM

I haven't spent a lot of time on The Sopranos boards but I noticed something else last night. In the Tennessee Moltisanti episode Vito comes into the bakery (or I assume it's him) before Christopher runs him out of the bakery before shooting the kid in his foot but he was called "Gino" on that episode.

Yes, that is correct... it was his first spot on set.... it was just a stand in scene and they liked him so much he was awarded a recurring role as Vito.

Re: Question - 06/02/19 07:23 PM

Nice touch: When Chris shoots the bakery clerk, the guy yells "you shot me in the foot" and Chris says "It happens". That was a nod to "Spider" getting shot in "Goodfellas.

Re: Question - 06/02/19 10:11 PM

When "Vito" was introduced to the show he wasn't even a mobster either. He was Richie's nephew, working with his brother Bryan (the one who got cracked in the head with the golf club by Mustang Sally) as a contractor. He shows up at Beansie's place to build that ramp after Richie ran him over. Later on he was in Ralph's crew, became captain later on, running the construction rackets. That actor made a nice little run on the show from being a throw away guy in one scene, to getting a bigger but still bit part, to them turning that bit part to major player. "He's a real come from behind kinda guy!"

I was thinking we knew who he was already at that point in the Mustang Sally episode because Tony pledged they would get him to Vito but it wouldn't be the first time I was wrong lol

Re: Question - 06/05/19 01:20 AM

By the time Mustang Sally cracked Bryan with the club, (Fore!) Vito was in Gigi's crew and no longer a contractor. He only made that one appearance as Vito the civilian outside of Beansie's place. I'm sure at that point they hadn't decided to give him a bigger part. You were right. In fact doesn't Vito say something like "I want this guy to bleed from his ass, Skipper." about Sally to Gigi when they're all around Bryan's hospital bed? Hahaha. I'm also assuming that Sally was at least an associate, he was known to the crew and he was Bobby Sr.'s godson.

Re: Question - 06/06/19 05:49 PM

You are correct Goldy on all fronts. The quote by the bedside is dead on I think. Sally had to be an associate, he was even fussing with the girl that hit on Christopher in that club one night when she was wearing that fur coat. I think she was "dating" or whatever you want to call it with Paulie's nephew I think it was?

Re: Question - 06/06/19 09:21 PM

That was Tina. Lil Paulie was trying to hook up with "Danielle" the undercover FED. I don't remember Tina being involved with anyone, just a "friend" of Ade's till she started brazenly flirting with Chris in front of Ade and she dropped a dime on her for stolen goods or whatever that was.

Re: Question - 06/07/19 07:50 AM

I’ll have to run it back but in the episode where she had the fur coat on she was with one of the guys the night she told Christopher that she was bald or bare downstairs. It was one of the two between Paulie’s Nephew and the other guy that hit him with the bottle at the job site I think it was.

Just noticed something else, Season 3 Episode 1 (Mr. Ruggiero’s Neighborhood) the FBI boss takes Pussy’s photo to throw it in the trash after they figure he’s dead but yet they left Jackie Aprile and Brandon Filone’s pictures up on the board

And Jimmy Altieri’s (so?) pic up too

Re: Question - 06/07/19 03:09 PM

Ha, oh yeah, Lil Paulie and Christopher have that little "she's my fox in a box" "Well, let's see her box, or maybe her sox!" high five moment. They could have edited that out.

Re: Question - 12/16/19 10:37 AM

The scene in the last season where Nancy Sinatra is singing, when it cuts to the guys sitting and watching her, is that Jimmy Altieri smoking a cigar?
