A Don never wears shorts?

This went over my head....anyone have any input?

I always think of a movie my mother had me watch starring the "Lucy" actress where she says "and why did I buy him those long pants" lol.

Old school mob versus the hippie generation. It's normal for men Tony's age to wear shorts. Wasn't when Carmine was Tony's age. Unless you were visiting Francis Albert's place in Palm Springs and didn't have a choice.
