#38 & #22 on Holsten's wall

There's that shot right after Tony enters into Holsten's of he sitting at his table and the high school football murals hanging on the far wall behind him - murals that don't actually exist at the real Holsten's but ones that David Chase and production crew created for that very final scene. Someone on another site brought it to my attention that the football player wearing the #38 jersey over Tony's right shoulder (our, point-of-view, LEFT of Tony) stands for the .38 CALIBRE that Man-In-Members-Only-Jacket will use when exiting the bathroom in that very direction toward Tony. #22? Yes, also a calibre gun but how about the previous scene when Tony visits Uncle Junior? When you see Tony standing in the doorway before walking in, on the open door reads 'Ward 22' over Tony's left shoulder (our, point-of-view, RIGHT of Tony). At Tony's OTHER side is the orderly who says excuse me to Tony a few times only for Tony to not hear nor see him at first. This hints Tony's 'blind-spot' which will also be the case when he also 'doesn't hear nor see' Man-In-Members-Only-Jacket coming from that very side also taking out CARM AND AJ being that both, and Tony, EACH (specifically showed all three) having had their Final Communion - who eats an onion ring in ONE GULP?. Meadow the 'Guardian Angel', as pointed out very beginning of Season 6, was not there to SAVE Tony (block Members-Only-Guy a clear shot) because she was late therefore not sitting down next to him. Or maybe Meadow was HER OWN 'guardian angel' in that HAD SHE been sitting there, ALL FOUR would have gotten it! 22 is also how old Tony was when he made his very first hit that led to he very soon after being....'made'. Man-In-Members-Only-Jacket isn't necessarily 22 years old (certainly don't LOOK it) but perhaps he's trying to be a 'made' guy as well. By executing the hit, he becomes 'Made'('In America' - Holsten's, representing 'America' being that it IS as Americana as it gets as oppopsed to Vesuvio's). And the cycle (circle, ONION RING...) is COMPLETE; and it, 'the movie', "never ends it goes on and on and on...."

Excellent post, made some very good observations.

"Made" was on again tonight and I think its all about the number "3". There were two attempts made on Tony... The two black guys and then when Uncle June shoots him.

It you watch that diner scene enough its right in your face. EVERYTHING is in "three's". Thee little boy scouts, the three perfectly lined up coffee creamers next to the cups, three lights on the wall, the first number of Meadows license plate is the number 3, and then the two failed tries to park her car and she parks it on the third try.

For those of us old enough to remember,all of this hidden clue and secret symbolism stuff is reminiscent of the "Paul is dead" rumors.Too bad there wasn't a shot of the 4 Sopranos all walking across the street with Tony barefoot.
Never mind Paul,the walrus is Tony!
