When he sits on the dog and says he thought it was cold so it must have dug itself under him.

I went for the killing of Email. I always thought Chrissy's little exchange before he shot Amiel was hilarious.

Re: Favourite Chris Moltisanti Moment - 07/22/05 04:46 PM

The dog was definitely hilarious! But my favorite Chris Moltisanti moment was in the actor class. They're doing exercises and having the "A and B" conversations. The guy says to Chris "A!" and Chris starts beating the shit out of him. Definitely best time! Think that was in season 2.

A great scene.

My favorite is when Chris shot at the baker's feet.

The whole "mock execution" bit, particularly when he exits the hospital, makes Adriana drive him to Meadow's school, and tries to strongarm Meadow into admitting that she squealed to Tony about the speed.

He "surprises" her by appearing behing her, McCluskry stlye, but instead of achieving the desired effect of terrifying her info a confession, she just yells at him for scaring her. Meanwhile, Hunter leans into the passanger side window and asks her if Chris's roommate (the one who gets the Moe Greene special) has said anything about her. It's like the worst ever mob-style harrassment attempt ever. Chris in his neck-brace ends up looking ridiculous, a great scene.

Re: Favourite Chris Moltisanti Moment - 08/05/05 01:03 AM

A great scene is when he is in the hospital room after he got shot and telling how he visited hell and that he he going to hell when he dies. Paulie makes the scene by telling him about venial sins and how long he will spend in purgatory.
Posted By: The Dr. who fixed Lucy

Re: Favourite Chris Moltisanti Moment - 08/05/05 11:06 PM

And then all the stuff with Paulie and his priest, and the clairvoyant. Technically a "favourite Paulie moment" but inspired by Chris!

I agree with this one too...i laughed hard when he was telling him, "I thought the only sausages we had was Italian Sausages and Jimmy Deans"

Re: Favourite Chris Moltisanti Moment - 08/08/05 10:44 PM

greatest moment is chris in the neck brace and hes thinking tonys out to kill him lol and adriana asks if he shat in his pants lol

Meadow - "I hate my life, being a Soprano"

Chris - "Hey, don't eva say you hate life, thats blasphemy"

Meadow - "fuck you"

Chris - "okay lets go, rememba like when you were little? I'll buy you one of those happy meals, alright?"

Adriana - "where-the-fuk are you?"

Re: Favourite Chris Moltisanti Moment - 08/11/05 04:39 PM

"He was gay Gary Cooper" was probably my favorite also. Tony's reaction just caps it. I also love the line in Pine Barren's when Pauly tells him the guy was an interior decorator and a soldier and chrissy says:

"His house looked like shit"

I loved the episode when Chris loans money to his rehab-buddy,and when he can't pay him back,he beats the shit out of him. And than he says something like:Why didn't you come to me? i'm your buddy?hilarious!!!!!

Re: Favourite Chris Moltisanti Moment - 09/22/05 05:42 AM

One of my favorite Chris moments is in Season 1 when all the news of the indictments comes down on the TV, and Chris is upset that he wasn't mentioned. And then at the end of the episode, he hears his name is in the paper, and he runs and steals like 15 copies. Hilarious.

This is interesting..if anyone remembers Goodfellas, where Joe Pesci shot at Michael Impereioli's feet because he didnt get his drink fast enough!! Now the shoe's on the other foot. (sorry!)

Re: Favourite Chris Moltisanti Moment - 09/29/05 08:02 PM

NY Johnny, that one episode when they were out in the cold? That was one of my favorites too. I think it was Paulie who lost his shoe in the snow and his foot was numb so he wrapped it up with fabric. That episode all together was good. Was that in season 4?

Re: Favourite Chris Moltisanti Moment - 09/29/05 08:29 PM

Pine Barrens, one of the greatest episodes of all time, season 3.

Re: Favourite Chris Moltisanti Moment - 09/29/05 10:05 PM

One Chris/Paulie scene that always makes me laugh is when Paulie orders Chris to take off all his clothes in order to search whether he is wired. Paulie convinces him that it is not a joke and that all made men have to do it. In the end, when Chris is naked in front of Paulie and the others, Paulie announces "I guess you can call this a dick!"

Another good Chris scene is the one in my signature.
Posted By: LaFamiglia

Re: Favourite Chris Moltisanti Moment - 09/30/05 10:23 PM

I remember that episode. That was hilarious. Paulie's my favorite character out of all of them. Paulie and Chris are a good match in the Sopranos.

Re: Favourite Chris Moltisanti Moment - 10/05/05 02:30 AM

i definatly agree paulie and chris are probably the two funniest characters in the show...though for a while i wasn't groving paulie...i thought they were taking the joy out of that character and just making him a tatle tale...blah. but hey, anyone other then me hate the fact they gave junior alzhimers? i would have loved to see junior back in the sattle.

Re: Favourite Chris Moltisanti Moment - 10/18/05 06:03 PM

Christopher's intervention is a great scene i think!!!

I love the way every characters' personality comes out in the dialogue.

Tony becomes agitated and angry at Christophers suffocation of "little Cosette".

Silvio says his piece but remains level headed.

Classic Paulie comes out and gets straight to the point..."you're weak and you've become an embarassment to yourself and everyone around you!"

Christopher reacts like anyone in denial would...and he spits some very close to the bone home truths.

Class Scene and no mistake.

Mine, too. And, after he takes the guy's Bimmer to help pay off his loan, he says, "You can do it!"
That was the best episode of the season because it also featured Polly Bergen as Tony's father's goumad, doing her Marilyn Monroe singing to JFK imitation.

Re: Favourite Chris Moltisanti Moment - 10/21/05 08:12 PM

"In Camelot," your favorite Season 5 episode?

1. Long Term Parking
2. The Test Dream
3. Irregular Around the Margins
4. Unidentified Black Males
5. All Due Respect
6. Where's Johnny?
7. Marco Polo
8. All Happy Families
9. Rat Pack
10. Cold Cuts
11. In Camelot
12. Two Tony's
13. Sentimental Education

Felstein actually bothered me too much to like that episode.

Re: Favourite Chris Moltisanti Moment - 11/03/05 11:22 PM

there are a lot to choose from. christopher is probably my favorite character out the bunch. but if i had a top three it would go like this: The intervention, pine barrens (that whole episode was classic; Paulie: "The guy was an interior decorator Christopher: "His house looked like shit."), and probably when he and albert killed jackie jr.'s friend at point blank after they held up ralph's card game.

My favourite Christopher Moltisanti moment was when he punched one of the people in his acting class' face during their "A, B" play.

Re: Favourite Chris Moltisanti Moment - 11/12/05 06:22 PM

In D-Girl when he gets John Favreau in the headlock and is yelling "did I ever what?"! JF lets out a girly scream to make him stop. Then they have a serious discussion about the artistic structure of Christopher's screenplay:

John: You know Franky?
Chris: Yeah I know Franky. He's my leading fucking man.
John: He's um ... he's kind of like a contradictory character ... in a good way ... you know? ... like complex.
Chris: You think he should wear those taps on his shoes? They sound cool.

I voted for When he shoots the bakery kid in the foot
Chris is one of my favourites charecters in The Sopranos...
Posted By: Bada Bing Ben

Re: Favourite Chris Moltisanti Moment - 11/16/05 02:17 AM

right can someone back me up on this.

The fat guy that walks into the bakery...who had been parking his car...is VITO SPATAFORE.. or at least its the same actor i mean!!! the bakery guy ignores chirs..."what can i get you gino?!"...surely chris would know a soldier in the aprille crew who is the cousin of tony's best friens Jackie Aprille and also something to do with Spatafore Construction.

Are we just expected to ignore this serious breech of continuity?!

Re: Favourite Chris Moltisanti Moment - 11/21/05 12:17 AM

BBB; same actor, different character. It was long before Spatafore was stemmed as a character in the show. You can spot Drea De Matteo, who plays Adriana, early on in the pilot as a waitress.

Re: Favourite Chris Moltisanti Moment - 11/21/05 01:15 AM

yeah i accept that its long before Vito was brought in as a character, but i still dont like the breach of continuity.

I think it is pretty poor of the shows producers to allow it to happen really. Bordering on amateurish almost.

I agree the "A...B play" is one of the funniest, but I also like when he is high on drugs talking about Liva Soprano at her wake.

"What I'm trying to say is......"(blank look on his face)

I thought it was funny

But wasn't that just Adriana? She was always a maitre'd there wasn't she? We just don't find out who she is until the next episode.

I dunno actually, I never noticed. I've been told I assume too much, this is quite possibly one of those cases.

Re: Favourite Chris Moltisanti Moment - 11/27/05 10:56 AM

The story is that there was originally no further depth to her maitre'd (sp?) part, but she gave the small role so much enthusiasm that when the series was picked up and they decided to flesh out the cast some more, rather then hold casting calls for Chris's girlfriend, David Chase remembered her and gave her the part, and her original appearance was worked into the story.

I voted for him sitting on the dog, but one of my favorites is when he is digging up "email's" body and the big guy says, "Is that him" and Chris say, "Well that would be some fuckin' coincidence it it wasn't." Every time I see it, I crack up.

Re: Favourite Chris Moltisanti Moment - 02/25/09 02:37 AM

My favourite hasn't been mentioned, I like it in the church when Johnny Sacks daughter Allegra gets married and Chris is saying something like:

"Allegra, isn't that a cough medicine?"
And Paulie says "It means happiness in Italian"
Then you see Chris thinking to himself then he comes out with:
"The fucks that got to do with cold medicine?"
Posted By: MonteSuputo

Re: Favourite Chris Moltisanti Moment - 03/05/09 04:20 PM

"The fuck that have to do with cold medicine"- talking about the name Allegra at Johnny Sacks daughter, Allegra's, funeral

He was my favorite character with Silvio a close second!!!

[Paraphrasing...]

Chris: "I don't feel that way."

Re: Favourite Chris Moltisanti Moment - 04/13/09 06:54 PM

Paulie and Chris, talking about the escaped Russian in The Pine Barrens episode (Tony just told Paulie over the phone that the Russian had killed 16 Chechnean rebels and had worked for the Interior Ministry).

Paulie: You're not going to believe this -- the guy killed 16 Czechoslavakians...He was an interior decorator.
Chris: (looks confused) His house looked like shit.

Also, at the labor strike bust-up:
Black labor striker: You're a wiseass motherfucker aren't you?:

I'm surprised no one mentioned the scene in S2(The Happy Wanderer,i think) where he scams that butcher when he is buying fish and then makes Chip and Dale(Sean and Matthew) pay for it.Those were the funniest moments in The Sopranos ever...

But Chris has alot of them...

I just watched this episode last sunday. it was amazing. and this quote really was incredible. later on he tells Paulie to fuck off, Paulie says "what did you say?" and Chris replies:

"you heard me. capo or no capo, right now we're just 2 idiots in the woods"

I get really sad that the only time I'm able to watch The Sopranos is sunday at 1 AM (actually monday :P) and most times I fall asleep before. but if I keep awake until it starts, it really gets me up again. I really need to get more into it.

My favorite scene is when Christopher enters the room and says; "Sorry, I'm late but the highway's jammed with broken heroes on a last chance power drive!" He smirks and Tony replies with an agrily sarcastic quip about being cute. Good stuff.

Re: Favourite Chris Moltisanti Moment - 08/23/09 01:05 PM

Went for the Adriana slap. I'm slowly coming to realise that he may well be my favourite character. When he tells her to go home and get his dinner ready. He can be the most thoughtful, sweet guy in the whole series and then have these wild moments of utter contempt for those he loves most. Brilliant.
Posted By: Tony Mosrite

Re: Favourite Chris Moltisanti Moment - 12/24/09 09:09 PM

I haven't watched that many episodes but fortunately I already caught all of these moments - probably one of the reasons why Chris is one of my favorite characters - and I have to go with the mock execution, which I just watched yesterday; I cracked at the way he gave himself away, and seeing that the next episode is titled "Meadowlands", I can sense there's trouble ahead for him.
Posted By: Tony Mosrite

Re: Favourite Chris Moltisanti Moment - 02/08/10 02:57 PM

lol lol

just seen my post above and remembered I thought "Meadowlands" was some kind of word play on Meadow regarding some effect on Chris but now I know it is just one ugly place in New Jersey... lol if only I was that creative all the time!

but of course the show has its way of never turning out as you'd expect. Chris only looked ridiculous but didn't have much trouble other than stalking Meadow at high school!

True, i thought the exact same thing when i first read "The Last Gangster" by George Anastasia, that picture of Skinny Joey sitting on a motor-bike is like a spitting image of Michael Imperioli as Chrissy Moltisanti. Even Merlino's wife Deborah looks a little like Adriana.

Yeah, that scene showed just what the mob has stooped to: Robbing little old ladies for swag bags in Hollywood. It was probably intentional. Great scene.

I didn't care for "Christopher" too much when I first saw it, but after re-watching a few times theres a lot of funny moments. When they're talking about the Indian Reservations and one of them (I think it was Vito) says "yeah, what'd WE ever get that we didn't have to work our balls off for?"... or when Ralphy tries shaking down that Indian professor by trying to expose that Indian actor as a "total fuckin fugazi"... or the neurotic Jewish guy who set up Tony's meet with the Casino contact complaining about the printer Hesh bought his grandaughter ...LOL
