I just started watching The Sopranos at Season 4.. what are some of the important things from the past seaons that I should know?

Hi,
In season 1 Tony's Mother tried to have him killed for putting her in a Retirement Community. Most of Uncle Junior's crew was wacked except for Bobby Baccala. Big Pussy was wearing a wire. In season 2 Richie Aprile gave Tony many headaches, tried to have him killed, and was killed by Janice after he punched her in the mouth. Big Pussy was killed in the final episode. In Season 3 Dr Melfi was brutalized. Ralphie Cifaretto became the main pain in the ass for Tony. Uncle Junior beat cancer. Jackie Aprile Jr was also killed.
