Was Cicci based on Joe Barboza?

Besides the Valachi influence I can’t help but see physical similarities to Joe Barboza.

The only similarity I found was that he eventually testified against his Don (Raymond Patriarca). Otherwise, no--he was Portuguese, not Italian, never made, a contract killer and brutal collector of debts. Perhaps you're influenced by a photo of him looking a lot like Cicci.
