Some new GF pictures. Mt. Loretto

I needed to test and review a new camera, so I headed down the road from my house to Mt. Loretto, the outdoor site of the famous baptism scene. The front of the church is the only thing that survived a 1970's fire. Here are a few pics:

Thanks. ..Years ago, I posted a lot of pictures of the Corleone House on here. Ironically, it was my first time in Staten Island, and now I live here only a few miles from these locations.

I know those threads are still here, but I'm sure whatever service I used to host the pictures is long gone. Let me see if I can find the pictures and put them on Image Shack.

OK. I think this will work. I found what I could, and put them into an ImageShack Album. They should be viewable to everyone. I didn't sort through them or process them, so they might not look the best and there could be duplicates:

Yep, those are the ones. Didn't you say the house was up for sale not too long ago?

I still say it would be so cool to rent out the yard for BB convention. Though I'm sure the owners would think we are all a bunch of nuts.

Yes, it sold last year for around $1.7m. I believe the owner was originally asking $3m. The house was estimated to be worth slightly more than $1 and in need of major interior renovations.

It is pretty big. If you weren't aware, it appears in another famous movie. The original "12 Angry Men" with Henry Fonda and others.

I wanna say it looks like the courthouse in the beginning of Law & Order. However, if I'm not mistaken, when I went on a tour in NYC,they said the L&O Courthouse steps were actually library steps.

I don't know about the opening of L&O, but I did a quick search and it recently appeared on 3/21/13 in an episode of Law and Order: "Undercover Blue"

Mott Street is in Little Italy right? I was there a couple years ago and must have passed it but yea, I wouldn't have recognized it.

Mott Street used to be Little Italy, but it has gotten absorbed into Chinatown. Most of the area other than Mullberry Street is now part of Chinatown.
