Any DVD set's really worth getting ? - 12/31/02 05:16 AM

I am looking for a good DVD set but could never find a good one. It's like 3 dvd's have tons of special features and the other two have crap..

I am not sure if you are wanting recommendations for good films (sets) on DVD or if you want DVD movies with the most features/added extras....

If you like LOTR - get the extended version on DVD and if you like a good quality series get I Claudius wink smile

Here's my list, you don't have to agree with it:

LOTR: Extended Edition

The Godfather DVD Collection (of course!)

Star Wars 2 (if you're an avid fan, or really dig Natalie Portman looking like Britney Spears)

Back to the Future (don't get widescreen)

Throw in Star Trek II to spice it up a little bit. wink

If you're referring to the infamous "framing problems," then I still recommend you either get widescreen and then return parts II and III when they do their exchange program in February, or simply wait until February when they put the corrected versions on the shelves. But do not get full screen. It's a butchering of the director's vision, and it shouldn't even be an option. If you don't like the "black bars," then stick to VHS.

Those are all good, especially Rocky and Beverly Hills Cop, can't beat Eddie Murphy
