I can only imagine how certain things take a toll on a mobster. I'm sure quite a few have experienced nervous breakdowns in their life. It has to age you to the extreme.

Dealing with the stuff they have to deal with on a day to day basis. Running from the law, or having the feeling that people could kill you at any moment. Knowing that the bigger and more involved you get, the more heat that is brought down on you? How about doing something you regret the next day, but having to suck it up and move on? How about having to lie to your own family? These are just a few examples.

Your thoughts on this?

In my first post in the "Mob Myths, Facts and Realities" thread, I wrote that getting made in the Mob is the worst thing that could happen to you, for a whole bunch of reasons, including some of those you posted.

Albert Demeo said that in the final months of his fathers life, the strain was really showing!
He said his Dad shut himself in his study on Christmas Day 1982 and never came out all day!
