A new Albert Neri

A new Albert Neri - 08/29/05 09:28 PM

If there`s gonna be an GF4 and if Vincent gonna be Don,
he will definately need a good, lojal and buff man around
himself most of the time. A man who are ready to protect him against anything anytime and who also are able to kick some ass or wack sombody if needed.
Just like Al Neri hung around Mike most of the time.
I really liked Al Neri. He didn`t talk much, but he was there all the time and Mike trusted him with his life.

Who`s the right man for this job in an GF4?
I know some of you will hate what I`m about to suggest.
But I think Steven Seagal would be perfect for this role.
Steven Seagal is buff and not afraid to use voilence.
He is not popular among many movie fans. In fact I think
here are more people who dislike him than who actually likes him. But for this role you can`t find a better man.
Or what do you think?

Come on Wiseguy, Steven Segal?

Well, at least he`s Italian.

Never ever Steven Seagal is allowed to appear in a GF movie, or even a gangster-movie.

I appreciate that you give ideas Associate, but this one really sucks.

Segal is definitely not gangster. Needs to stay away from cosa nostra movies altogether. He's OK in a few of the cheesy white-folk action movies.

Not to mention he's been muscled himself, IN PUBLIC.

I think Nicholas Cage should be given an important role in The Godfather Part IV. I don't think he should be Vincent Corleone's "Albert Neri", but he should be a highly ranked member of the Corleone Family, or even a highly ranked member of one of the five Mafia Families of New York.

Really, he doesnt seems like a Cicci or Neri to me, if they give him the role it would be kind of disastrous...
Steven Segal?! that was joking rigth ?

3 choices:

1. Richard Grieco - hes around 40 now; put a scar on his face or give him a slight limp

2. Shawn Wayans - quiet presence

3. Tony Siragusa - type casting at its finest

Frank Vincent could be Vincent Corleone's "Al Neri."

Re: A new Albert Neri - 11/10/05 12:48 AM

Vincent Corleone I want to see...
He's the same image of his father Santino BUT avoiding his dad's mistakes...

Al Neri would be the man who will always be there to advise Vincent...
More like a father...

Richard Bright is Al Neri...
just close your eyes and say AL NERI...and guess what the man will appear for you is Richard Bright!!!

I vote for Keaneu Reeves. Or here's a new concept. What about a hit woman? I'd like to see Charlize Theron in that role, or maybe Nicole Kidman. It would work because no one would suspect a woman of being a hit man and she could get closer to a target. And no one would think they're Sicilian, with their coloring.

Re: A new Albert Neri - 12/21/05 04:46 AM

Johnny Depp? He did well in the movie with Pacino, Donnie Brasco.

Robert Deniro? Maybe not a body gaurd, but something important. He's not that old.

Ray Liotta?

Re: A new Albert Neri - 12/23/05 01:12 AM

I alwasy thought Ray Liotta was A rather soft and timid looking man.

Re: A new Albert Neri - 12/27/05 05:52 PM

frank vincent is a great choice - atleast have an italian play the role right. I mean James Caan, Richard Bright, Andy Garcia are some who arent italian and were in the godfather trilogy-even though they did good jobs. what im saying is that we need to mention some of the good italian stars-pesci, liotta, paul sorvino and some of the guys from the sopranos like tony sirico and michael imperioli. I would definitely give them parts in part IV before segal or keanu reeves because these guys have experience doing these gangster roles.

What about Steven Van Zandt he played Silvio Dante on the sopranos or Steve R. Schirripa he played Bobby Bacala on the sopranos.

You could hide an AK47 under a nun's habit, or a maternity dress. And who would be wary of letting a woman get close?

It's not supposed to be Domino, it's The Godfather.

Re: A new Albert Neri - 01/25/06 03:05 PM

Well, what about that assassin, Mosca (?) in GF3. He had a lot of costumes he used for different "jobs". Wasn't one of them a nun's habit? Just a new twist on an old job.

Do you know anything about the Mafia? [/b][/quote]Yeah. Kathleen Turner played a hit woman in Prizzi's Honor, so there is precedent for it. Charlize Theron would be good, so would Scarlett Johansen.

Re: A new Albert Neri - 03/13/06 01:39 PM

I was watching reruns last night of Law and Order: Criminal Intent. There was a male actor on these who looked enough like Richard Bright to be a younger brother or son, perhaps in his 40's. Couldn't read the credits fast enough to get his name. He sounded just like him, too. Does anyone know who he might be? He would be a good choice for a new Al Neri.
