part 4 should be about Vincent as old don

This is what the Godfather should be about.

Andy Garcia being the Godfather as an older man. Then, just like GFII, there are flashbacks of his time with Michael right after the shooting in Sicilly on the steps of the theater.

It would be shifting between those two times, though ofcourse some younger actor would have to play the young Vincent which would be weird perhaps. Michael at this age is perfect for the part of Michael of that age. Back then they used make up to make him look older that Pacino was. Perhaps Conny would take a more prominent role and even have a secret affair with Vincent ( i thought there was always some tention between the two ).

Part four is not someting I am realy for but if they would do it then there would be the final chance of finishing some of the loose ends perhaps.

those are some good ideas. i dont want a gf4 either but those ideas arnt bad.

You do raise some good points about a possible plot line for GF4.

Although Like you I'm against the idea of a GF4.

I've had that idea inside me for a while but havn't shared it because due to Marios death, i'm against GF4.

With the excellent makeup artist they have though i'm sure they could make Andy Garcia look younger.

They could take the flashbacks right up to 1997 too (the year michael dies) which ironically would meet up with the present story line of Vincent as Don.

Some good ideas there.. Id deffinatley want to see Connie in a big role.. But not as a lover to Vincent.. GF III had enough incest for my taste..

If Godfather III was amazing like the first two, and there was a flawless trilogy in place, then like all of you, I would not want a fourth film. But that is not the case... The third film already did the job of hurting the greatness of the trilogy so im not worried about what the fourth film would potentially do. I want to see Godfather IV. There, I said it.

i think i would be a perfect mike in part four. or even the perfect sonny. depending on how much make up they would apply. lol. anyways.

Hey, I'm new here as you can tell by the number of posts I made. I'm against another Godfather film, but I imagine they would show us Vincent as the head of the family now. Also I think they would go back and forth with Sonny Corleone, as they would show us how Sonny was making his bones in the family when his father was first shot and Sonny needed to wage war. In the novel, The Godfather I reference this information from for those of you who haven't read the novel.

Vincent? I didnt really like his charecter and him as an old don would be him 40 years after the end of Part 3 making it 2020 and I dont want the films to have a jump in time over us. Part of the films is that their is some nostalgia about the time period.

I thought on the DVD Bonus Disc Puzo said he'd already written half the script sometime in the 90s and that it was about Sonny Corleone as a younger kid being introduced and "making his bones" in the family. Could be wrong though.
