A Top Rackets Kingpin of Pennsylvania - 10/28/23 07:53 PM

One of the most powerful racket kingpins in the State of Pennsylvania was a a little known Jewish hoodlum who ruled his fiefdom, unabated, for decades.

During his time in power - despite his anonymity - this "connected" guy controlled a vast underworld operation that earned him and his associates millions in profits.

Because I'm aware that a good-sized portion of our fanbase hails from the Northeast, Upstate NY and Pennsylvania in particular. And so many of our fans also enjoy reading about mob figures from Jewish backgrounds, and enjoy the "little known" mobsters who operated across America, that's why I picked this fella to do a biography on...I think you're gonna like it.

Glad to hear it. I do think you'll enjoy this.

This particular fella lived and controlled rackets only several hundred miles away from Pittsburgh. And, as I mentioned, he's another one of the little known, but important, underworld figures ButtonGuys researches and is known for bringing to our fans.

One; the Bahm family who's daughter lived with Check Teemer and provided him the cash to buy into the Jockey Club.
Tubby Levine, often seen with Michael Genovese was the other. His son Morry continued the business.
Henry and I would pick up an "envelope" every Tuesday during foot ball season.

FOH, I'm not gonna tilt yet and tell ya who I'm writing a bio on, but I will admit this much, it isn't either of the guys you mentioned.

This particular fella, that few mob fans, even so-called experienced mob "researchers" have even heard about. But I do think you're gonna really enjoy this one.

I hope to have it completed in the next few days.

For sure, neither one was a " Kingpin". Both were big "producers" and very influential.
Always interested in knowing more about Pittsburgh. Anxious for you to add to what I know.
