Chicago Outfit, Philly’s Mob’s Skinny Joey Crew Hooked Up With Kansas City Mafia In String Of Street, White-Collar Rackets, Sources Say

https://gangsterreport.com/chicago-...street-white-collar-rackets-sources-say/

January 13, 2023 — The mafia crime families in Chicago and Philadelphia are making moves and money in Kansas City, according to sources familiar with the situation, teaming with K.C.’s Civella crime family in rackets in and out of Missouri.

The Kansas City mob today is allegedly run by John (Johnny Joe) Sciortino and Peter (Las Vegas Pete) Simone, a pair of incredibly-connected old-school wiseguys that know what’s best for their bottom line, whether that means letting outsiders come onto their turf or not, sources say. Sciortino, 79, and Simone, 77, head a small, tight-knit organization insulated by a group of trusted buffers and advisers.

According to three separate sources, the relative of a high-ranking member of the Chicago Outfit makes frequent trips to Kansas City and even keeps an apartment there, running messages back-and-forth between bosses in Chicago and K.C. The Outfit-Civella joint venture portfolio is alleged to consist of stolen goods, drugs, construction and strip-club shakedown rackets, two of the sources say.

Pete Simone oversees the business relationship with the Outfit, per these two sources. Simone and Sciortino both know several of the current Chicago mob shot callers dating back years, all the way to the time in the 1970s and 1980s when the two crime families were skimming Las Vegas casinos together.

Another two sources claim Philadelphia’s Bruno-Scarfo crime family is doing a series of white-collar rackets with a so-called “younger generation” of the Kansas City mob, a group of guys in their 30s, 40s and 50s who probably won’t ever see a button but is helping the Civellas stay relevant in the 21st century.

Philly mob’s reputed acting boss George (Georgie Boy) Borgesi allegedly linked with a few of these younger K.C. gangland aspirants while he was doing time for racketeering in federal prison during the 2000s, sources say. Borgesi, 58, is childhood best friends with Philly mafia don Joseph (Skinny Joey) Merlino, who controls the Bruno-Scarfo crime family from South Florida via Borgesi and others, according to multiple sources on both sides of the law.

These brokesters missed the boat when Madoff was running his scheme, wonder if these are above the board legit things like flipping houses. The real estate market is kind of getting into the same gray area it was back in the early 2000s when they started handing out loans to any with a pulse. Ultimately back in that time period there were so many Ninja loans and fraud getting committed all over America that they could not keep track and only a handful of people went to federal country club prisons for mail fraud. Tons of money available in the real estate game on many sides

How reliable is Gangsterreport.com? He mentions sources repeatedly, but has any of this ever been verified, or was anyone ever indicted in these conspiracies he claimed were taking place. Thee story is from 10 years ago.

I'm in the same boat with you. All of a sudden he's dropping all this info with all these sources?

Scott's reporting has always been questionable. He's always had a problem exaggerating. There's probably a reason he's the only person anywhere reporting this. I say this not as a person dig at him because I have tremendous respect for his work and consider him a great resource on organize crime across the country. But I have issues taking the gangsterreport articles at face value.

Doesn't really matter if it's Scott's reporting or someone else's when something new comes out that isn't being reported anywhere else and there's not really evidence to support it you should be questioning it. To believe it blindly would be irresponsible for any mafia enthusiast

I believe he's reliable. The only ones who think he isn't are the ones eating crow because they've been saying that all those Families are defunct.

I believe that whatever they're doing is either legitimate or quasi-legitimate, but they're going to get the shaft just because of who they are.

Well it comes down to whether or not you'll take it at face value. His reporting has had issues in the past and he's admitted to some of them before. Bottom line is no one is reporting what he is despite several well established journalists covering the exact same topic, law enforcement seemingly knows about these activities but aren't doing anything about them despite the fbi going out of their way to target Italians specifically (your words)

I for one will consider what he says because it could possibly be true for all I know but until further evidence comes out I won't be saying there's dozens of young made guys in the Cicero crew alone or Kansas City has a group of young non member associates working with Borgesi in white collar crimes.

Because the news that have been made new blood would put a target on the family! They stay quiet and made milions also because the LE dont consider them a priority.
I dont know how italians there are in KC but apart the sons of old made men there would be many to induct for restore the family.

The thing is the families outside of NYC mostly historically have kept it small.
As we all know some due to edict set by the commission some by design.

That is the reason they generally have not been plagued with as many rats.

A lot of inter marriage or life long relationships.

Every time the admin opens the books they put themselves at risk of dying in jail.

As I said with Buffalo LCN, the. BEST PUBLICITY MONEY COULD BUY were those articles that came out saying that LCN was all done.

No more Buffalo LCN, squad etc.

A lot of these old times have accumulated some wealth so they do not need to be on the street
Lending $1,000.00 to some dead beat, that when he does not pay and he is threatened. he runs to L.E.

They do not need to mess with drugs anymore.

They have legit income and have buffers so they are layers removed really the way it always should have been.
