Andrew Russo has died

I just saw something on Facebook that Andrew Russo (Colombo boss) has passed away.

Would love more Information.

I believe he’s gone but would love more sources to confirm.

Maybe his Grandson flipping killed him

I’ve seen (unconfirmed source) that he had dementia in the last few months..

If that’s the case; He probably wasn’t running the family; He may have just had the title.

I think it's fake news, this happens at least once every few months on these forums, but who knows.

NYDaily Times say that Russo is dead…

His attorney even confirmed the report so I believe it’s 100% true.

He's gone. From what I've heard is that he was respected across the board. He was apparently a bit of a jokester. Had a great sense of humor. Will Teddy be taking over?

Andrew was a sleeper until about 1977 when he was exposed by the FBI in a major expose released on Long Island rackets and racketeers. From that point forward he started to become better known. It was the beginning of all his legal headaches. Previous to that he had a handful of arrests, but had largely avoided any major jail terms. His biggest arrests dealt with a hijack case along with his cousin and some South Brooklyn friends, possession of a stolen credit card, and a Sullivan Law violation during the old Gallo-Profaci War. Yet, he served very little jail time up until then. From the late 1970s on though, unfortunately Russo made up for it. Because in subsequent decades he served a ton of time behind bars.
