Old Italian Grudges Die Hard

There are still Camorra and Ndrangheta killings going on today in conflicts that go all the way back to the 1950s. Not so much with Cosa Nostra, because the Sicilians pretty much have a tight moratorium on murder. I just find it fascinating that these conflicts go back before many of us were even born.

Can you provide some examples im.not familiar with those groups. Very interesting though

In the 1950s doesn't existed the modern Camorra clans,for the ndragheta there was few feuds in 1940s-1950s and more from the 1960s,so no,no murders for something happened in the 1950s.

Furio you provide a lot of valuable content but I have to disagree here. Police said that the murders between the Ndrangheta clans where mobster Francesco Raccosta was fed to the pigs stretches all the way back to the 1950s. The San Luca feud where those 6 Ndranghetisti were killed in Germany also goes back decades. And there was also a Camorra example where the rivalry and vendetta went back decades between two Camorra clans. With all due respect, unless they're lying, I think I'm right.

Furio I'm not saying that any murder is necessarily directly tied to any specific act that occurred decades ago, but some of these clans that are killing each other have hated each other for many decades.

From the 1980's yes , for example when Inzerillo's wanted to return to Palermo, Antonio Rotolo was against it , while Lo Piccolo approved it , that led to a new conflict and Rotolo prepared acid barrels for Lo Piccolo and his son , he sent Gianni Nicchi to find and murder them.

Not that old but Marcello Bruzzese brother of informant was shot dead on xmas day 2018 , his brother collaborated in 2003 , they found him 15 years later in witness protection program and killed him on xmas day.

You're reffering to the Oppido Mamertina that started in 1992 and the San Luca feud that also started in the 1990s because during a feast some boys launched eggs against boys from the other ndrina. Some of this ndrine born in the late 1950s or after. Thats it.
