Love the part where Franzese and Giuliani talk about Bonanno's book and how it not only became the catalyst for the Commission case, but also how they despised him for writing this tell-all book (which indeed has parts of it that are kind of hogwash).

Franzese is the last who should talk, he wrote 2 tell all books on the mob, and testified against friends. It still was a good interview to watch since no one years ago could predict the 2 of them together on an interview.

I didn't know the story about the Commission getting close to sanctioning a hit on Giuliani (3/2 vote against it).

I think Franzese is reduced to making things up. If they had tried to kill Giulianni the government would just replace him with a person just as tough, and crack down harder on them. I can't recall anyone who turned like Cafaro or Massino saying that happened.

Actually, it's Giuliani who said it. He said it comes from a wiretap on people leaving a Commission meeting. He sayd the FBI made him listen to the tape in which two bosses were talking about the vote.

So it seems to be a pretty solid information but one thing that bothers me is that Giuliani said one of the Bosses who was talking was Carmine Persico and it is well documented that Persico was in jail at the time. Gerry Lang was representing the Colombos at the Commission. So maybe he got the name mixed up or maybe he is making it up. As you said this has never been mentioned before.

Exactly right....Franzese is the king of bashing other people for doing the same things he's done...

My father never took responsibility for his crimes and going to prison and leaving us alone...Then when Michael gets arrested, I never wanted to be in this life, i was betrayed by my father and the mob..He also left his children alone...is that taking responsibility ??

I really can't stand this guy !!
