Frank Minucci (Mob guy in Carlito's Way) Gambino T - 04/23/21 12:06 AM

Always thought he was too good to be an actor

https://youtu.be/fnluVzLMRBQ

He's dead now but I just found out about his autobiography and ordered it. Terribly abusive childhood, went on to be an outlaw biker who collected debts for the Gambinos hoping to get made.

Passed on a hit because it was right before his wedding. His friend followed through and got whacked afterwards. Says he paid his way out with $250,000. I'm not sure which clubs he was in. I read once Hells Angels, guess I'll find out when I get the book.

The full special is also on YouTube but I'm just going to wait for the book.

I don't know about his story, He says he was a biker and tied to the mafia, plus he had to buy his way out with $250,000 after turning down a hit request----it sounds made up.

Just got the book. Read two chapters so far, it's a page Turner. He's a teenager where I'm at now. The amount of abuse he suffered up to that point is truly sickening.

Does anyone know the name Carmine Minucci? That was his father, made guy and apparently very close to Carlo Gambino.

This guy Minucci is a complete fake. I mean a 101% fraud all the way.

He was a stumble bum who tried bullshitting his way into making people think he was somebody. Nothing could be further from the truth.

He was no more a made man (or even remotely connected to the Mafia than I am the Catholic Pope).

I'm actually amazed that his videos are even still out there.

Do you recognize his father's name Carmine Minucci?

Where are you getting that Frank Minucci said he was a made guy? One of the first things in his book was how even though his father made, he knew he would never be because his mother was Irish.

I'm sorry. I misunderstood the question. As I say Frank is a complete fraud. And I've never EVER heard of a Carmine Minucci even as a wiseguy, let alone a made guy. Is it possible? I seriously doubt it, especially if its coming out of Frank's mouth that you know speaks all false words. Gotta beleived ALL of what he says is pretty much fake as well no?

I'm halfway through the book. I'll report back when I finish it.

Did you know of this guy before this thread?

Yes I'd seen him years ago somewhere. a book, tv, magazine,.... somewhere. When I read a bit about him and what he had to say I realized he was full of shit.

Re: Frank Minucci (Mob guy in Carlito's Way) Gambino T - 05/10/21 07:10 PM

Just finished the book. I'll give it 3 out of 5 stars. Its chronological which I like but there are just so many holes and things left out. Big difference between when a criminal rights a book and has to worry about the statute of limitations and when an informant writes one who's been given a pass on everything.

The bike club stuff was only like two pages and covered 1965 to 1968. He says the Hells Angels sent guys from out west in 1967 to have a big get together and they wanted to patch Pagans over, along with anyone else they deemed fit. They offered to let the Pagans wear their logo upside down. The rest is history. He says hundreds have died in the fighting since then. That number sounds high. He got out when he saw his friend get his head shot gunned offin front of the dudes family.

My dad told me once how little town by us in southern wisconsin had the streets lined with hells Angel's one sunday back at this time. I wonder if it was that crew heading out or coming back. Can't imagine why else a whole bunch would have been there in 1967.

In the book he calls the HBO special ridiculous and comments how can you buy your way out when you were never in? He's pretty upfront about only being a wannabe. In the mid 80s he was an out of control coke user whid been burning other dealers. When he talks about selling everything, it was after he found God and wanted to pay his street debts off. HBO must've thought buying your way out if the mob was more exciting.

He doesn't name drop, except after he becomes a preacher he says Gaspipe Casso reached out to him for prayer, or however that works. Spent the next years of his life building a ministry, traveling all over giving his testimonial, etc. Said thet were broke for years. Oddly enough he gets the Carlito's Way part which paid $35,000 and was blacklisted and shunned by all the pastors and religious people due to the language used. Lost his parish.

His childhood was hell on earth. He was kidnapped, chained to bed for over a year, repeatedly raped, starved almost to death. His mother and the two accomplices only got 3 years each. When the cops finally found him, starved practically to death, covered in bleeding sores, etc, apparently there was scuffle because one if the cops was going to shoot the adult female kidnapper.
