Frank "Beanie" Melli - NYMafia

Have you done a piece on Frank Melli aka Beansie aka Frank Gugliamelli? If so I couldn't find it on your site. Stand up guy and master thief. Him and Pasquale "Patsy" Senatore were the ones Donnie Brasco had a beef with when he was hanging out with Jilly. Melli had just gotten out of jail on a 1970 bank job and was itching to do scores. But Brasco kept making up excuses and that irked Melli and put his antennae up. He knew something wasn't right and that's when he pulled Donnie in the room and questioned him for 4 hours. Then when Brasco went to punching Patsy, Beansie went to throwing shots at undercover Donnie! Beansie made a ton of money doing scores.

I know Melli was with the bypass gang, and he also got pinched with Dom, Junior, Jerry, and most of the rest of the Colombo hierarchy that time in the 80's. But overall is it enough to pull and create something worthwhile??

There is enough info on him to double some of your other articles. I've got plenty of files. Searches might not yield all the info out there as he shortened his name from Gugliamelli to Melli and is sometimes referenced as Frank Miller due to the NY accent. Say Miller in brooklynese and it sounds like Milla. Had a club at 170 avenue T. Born to steal.
