John 's daughter Angel put up an RIP post on Instagram. It would appear the Dumbest Don is no more.

I'm gonna be respectful here because Peter Gotti wasn't the most shady character there's a lot worse. But for the mob's sake the more Gottis we lose the better. Just like the Persicos.

I think the better of Gottis is Gene,that now is free. It should be sad for Peter,but after I think to his goomar thatche led to suicide and on the fact that he was a man that can be easly retire after John death but he preferred to be the boss,so rot in hell Peter,yoi got what you deserved.

Oh come on. No matter how one feels, have some respect for a man who just died. "Rot in Hell" is a bit much. I think if not for Gotti being his brother, Peter stays in the straight life. He was the only Gotti who had a real honest job till John got him into the life.

I agree, have some compassion. He was a poor sole, I'm sure he never created a racket, beat anyone up or had the slightest degree of respect from anyone.

They should had let this guy a while ago, he was no threat to anyone.

Peter Gotti was a figurehead, I doubt he had any real power for the last several years.

Sorry, he was a man made his decisions and paid the price he was willing to pay. He was a criminal and I agree rot in hell. I'm always laughing at the pity given these guys. I have no doubt some do nice things in life, but none of them get a pass for the cruel things they did, directed or organized. I was taught very sorry don't fix the lamp. Good riddance.

Anyone who thinks that anybody has kicked up anything to Peter Gotti in the last ten years, much less consulted him on matters of any importance is as dumb as he was.

He was a NYC Garbage man.

He should have stayed that way. NYC Sanitation Dept. received excellent pensions and benefits. He would have saved himself decades in prison, dying behind bars, and missing out on his blood family all those years in stir.

Usually I have little to no sympathy for mob guys. But with him, I wonder why his brother wanted him to get involved, I mean John Gotti had to know how it would end for his brother.

This is the same deal with Teddy Persico ..... yes he did stuff ... but not a street guy .... many that knew him knew he was not cut out for the life .... many upstate after getting to know him or knew him for years just couldn’t grasp why he was in the life.... according to extend family and guys he knew up at the compound knew it was a order sent from Carmine for him to get more involved. Allie , Carmine were dead on street guys....Teddy and Larry no way .

Always seemed a figurehead more than anything yeah. Peter Gotti even looked like a harmless doofus lol.

Anyway, I hope he has found peace. Of course there are people out there even I won't RIP, but Peter Gotti was not a terrible enough person for me to wish the worst for him.

Peter, was in charge of collecting all the money for J.G.

I am assuming that J.G. got him made because that was a really important job, and that by P.G. being made would afford him some protection on the street.

And than later on as a PROXY,/PUPPET boss that would just follow his instructions with out question.

The admin just left him as official boss so that he would take at least some of the heat.

It was after John was Boss but before Junior on Christmas Eve 1988. So probably 86.

Peter Gotti served more time then John Gotti did and yet the ''experts'' all praised John Gotti for being a stand up guy and nobody calls Peter a stand up guy, just a dummy !!

He was dumb as a box of rocks, but he wasn't a rat.

It was pretty smart keep the Gottis happy Cefalu was already calling the shots
