The tri - State area is huge in terms of cash and people excepting the way of life. I have been saying it for a long time this area is prime for the mob and they are making a killing.

If not for the dysfunction in the families the younger guys would be a lot better at rackets , it just goes to show if you know what you are doing you can still make a good living in that life.

Now I never said it was / is a good life .... but if it’s your thing and you were born into it you can make money.

And a while back I was try to explain the rackets in the restaurant supply business and the big grocery stores . The guys have been in it for a long time and the families are in all aspects of it including the food it self. The grocery store eye level shelves are prime and they are controlled along with the end of the rows closest to the front of store . The ones that are under control of families make sure there product is there. I will not say the names of these products but there are many and you all know them .

The life takes smart guys and without it you have only mussel but it’s changed guys are making it on rackets and not having to do stupid street level shit ... and the families are networking , I am surprised they are trusting each other in these times.

Whats up with merlino getting out 1 yr early hes not a first time offender he had a long ass record. Did they change the whole federal system. Something like non violent crimes you get half the time like the old days. Think on say 10yrs you would get parole in the federal system after 3. His lawyers looks super smaht getting that plea. I wonder if he also got 3 yrs supervised release

So the Sicilian guy had bought property literally a stones throw from my home, it's a small world. It's usually only Asians buying property like that around here now days. It appears his businesses were doing well too. The father has the same name as as someone involved in the Pizza Connection case, it has to be the same person? I mentioned here before I did work for a guy and his family that were involved in the Pizza Connection, and he cooked us sausages for lunch and Chimays to wash them down.

Yeah but not so smart if he ends up getting convicted in Italy. Unless he became a naturalized American citizen in the short time he’s been here, 5 years, he won’t be allowed to move back on US soil. Any rent that he may receive from his proprieties abroad will be taxed to oblivion by the Italian govt., not worth it. He’s better off selling them...if such business were his in the first place, which I doubt.
