So he just set up shop on his own? Do you think international traffickers are basing themselves in Canada because of the way the courts seem to work? Or because cocaine isn't really the thing in the US anymore. I didn't read the article, how much time is he looking at? That's life pretty much in the US.

All the blacks that I know who used to snort coke take pills now and the black crackheads smoke meth now. I know it's a small sample size but coke is just about nonexistent in NE Arkansas and the Bootheel of Missouri. Heroin hasn't really taken over here yet but I'm not really in a position to know considering I don't use/sell it. I'm sure as these pills get harder and harder to get it will come around. I did have a friend who recently died of a heroin overdose that lived in Jonesboro but he had to make weekly trips all the way to South St Louis to get it. His connect was Bosnian, there are alot of Bosnians in St Louis. Ok ramble over lol

@kingofnewyork

Don't worry, heroin will take over the area soon enough, that shit has made a comeback. I don't know how or why people smoke meth, atleast coke and heroin come from plants. Meth is just a bunch of cleaning products thrown together to make a drug

I just moved back to Arkansas from St Louis. I was there for 2 years and could've done heroin any single day I was there if I wanted to. It's EVERYWHERE in that city. First time I went to take the bus a young black kid walks up to me and asks me what I need, lol to get to the horse track to bet on the derby. Anyway he pulls out a capsule, breaks it open and snorts it right in front of me. First time I'd ever seen it in my life of course I wasn't alive in thr 70s tho.

Google both "Project Harrington" and "Operation Harrington" to see how there were two phases of the investigation. The latter phase yields more information about the actors, countries involved, and so on.

See the map a bit farther below to see how complicated the operations were.

The Colombian was extradited from Colombia to Quebec, where he has been detained for more than two years. He is due to be sentenced on September 28 on a charge of conspiracy to import cocaine for the purpose of trafficking, a charge to which he pleaded guilty last Friday. A man from Nova Scotia, who was also arrested in relation to Project Harrington, pleaded guilty in Montreal last year to a charge of importing cocaine--he received a sentence of 8.5 years.
