Londonio and Caldwell Charged in Meldish Murder

"From in or about 2011 up to and including in or about 2017, LONDONIO and CALDWELL, along with other members and associates of La Cosa Nostra, committed a wide range of crimes, including murder, attempted murder, assault, robbery, extortion, gambling, and narcotics trafficking. In particular, and as charged in the Indictment, on May 29, 2013, CALDWELL attempted to murder a Bonanno Soldier in the vicinity of First Avenue and 111th Street, in Manhattan. Separately, and as also charged in the Indictment, on November 15, 2013, LONDONIO and CALDWELL together murdered Michael Meldish in the vicinity of Baisley Avenue and Ellsworth Avenue in the Bronx."

According to the Post the feud was linked to the Bonannos’ effort to rebuild their ranks without consulting the other families.

I think Caldwell is one of those long time associates you don't hear about. At 58, Who knows what racketeering activities he's involved in actually.

Is Lodonio someone's protege? He made? Who did he come up under?

Thats probably a romanticised notion. This was most likely related to a drug dealing fallout between these guys given the other charges in the indictment. I think your giving the leadership of these families a bit too much credit when it comes to monitoring every members and associates activity on the street. The particular crew enzo might be apart are probably pissed.

Chris was the brother of Michael "Chunk"Londonio who was a gun runner, Did lots of armed robberies, Home invasions, burglaries and worked for Ralph Balsamo , Soldier in the Genovese family. He ran and maintainec a big drug operation for Ralph until he was killed by Ny state troopers

Caldwell has also been indicted by a federal grand jury for the attempted murder of Bonanno crime family soldier Enzo “The Baker” Stagno in 2013. Stagno was shot in the chest while he was in his SUV near his home making a phone call according to authorities. This is the first time anyone has been charged in the shooting of Stagno. It was unclear as to the motive behind the attempted mob hit on Stagno but authorities believed the hit was sanctioned by leaders of the Lucchese family. Sources at that time claimed the hit on the mobster may have been part of a feud between the Bonanno and Lucchese families. Both Caldwell and Londonio are already behind bars on Bronx state charges linked to the murder of Meldish.
