Gene is going to dealing with post traumatic stress when he gets out. Acclimating to society after such a long bid is very difficult. I do think he is well liked and will probably be fine. He needs to lay low and enjoy his freedom. He may get a nice envelope when he is released.

Re: Gene Gotti - 02/16/17 01:37 AM

He's going to jump in his daughter's car, drive round to pick up Gotti jr. (that's providing he still remembers how to drive). together they will seek out all those who dared defy the chief.... Joe Watts, Jimmy Brown, Danny Marino, Chin......

Wait hold on, most of them are dead or in jail...

Joking.. hopefully he will retire BUT these guys never change. If he's still physically fit, I bet he will be hitting the streets soon. They love the action too much & no other city can do it for John (Gene in this case) but NYC becaus the city never sleeps

Re: Gene Gotti - 02/16/17 02:05 PM

Hopefully he's the one Gotti who keeps his mouth shut following a public disowning of his nephews and all the other relatives who make a living off of the name. Are there any good articles about him? He did a lot of time by listening to his Don. His nephew deserves a good beating (something along the lines of the Sonny and Carlo beating).

Re: Gene Gotti - 02/16/17 03:23 PM

Yes he take to 50 y because john ordered to dont take please because nobody must say that the Gambino family or la cosa nostra exist. If gene would take a plea would take 25 y in 1989 and maybe go out in the early 2000s.

Does he come home no parole no surpervised realease. If he has that then hes done also read on a thread here gene abused one of the cherry hill gambinos in some federal prison sure that wont help his new standing in the 21century gambino family.

Gene Gotti isn't Peter Limone or Matty Madonna; turn to the life after 20 y in prison will be a suicide.

http://www.cosanostranews.com/2015/03/onetime-shooter-and-gentleman-gene.html?m=1

Ironically, Gene Gotti was given an opportunity to accept a plea deal that would've permitted a prison sentence of around 10 to 15 years; meaning he would've been free to celebrate the Millennium. However, John Gotti "adhering to the mob dictum that forbids admitting guilt urged them to go to trial. Gotti, then the newly coronated king of the Gambino family, then tried to fix the jury, according to prosecutors. But things did not go according to plan...."

Alite also stuck up for Joe Gambino "because Gene was abusing him," our Gambino source said. "You don’t run in that life and not know every move on the compound. I saw a lot of it. Gene was abusing his own fucking guys – the Gambino brothers. He wants everyone to kiss his ass because of his last name.

The list of guys at McKean badmouthed by Gene Gotti included George Conti and George Zappola, formerly Luchese capos, and Michael "Baldy Mike" Spinelli "who got straightened out in prison and was there also. Gene was talking bad about him.too because he was working in Unicor  where he was making about 35 cents an hour," said our Bonanno source.

It reached the point where Gene was eventually confronted at McKean and abused by many of the guys he'd badmouthed -- most of whom were members of the Luchese family (which had worked with the Genovese clan to take out John Gotti Senior in the late 1980s, recall.)

The Luchese members at McKean first reached out to a heavyweight capo in their crime family to tell him what was happening with Gene.

He told them:  "Don't worry about the Gottis. They are no one to worry about."

That's Joe Gambino from the Bronx that Alite is talking about, not Cherry Hill Gambino's

Ah ok. Anyway is how I said if gene take the plea would be out in early 2000s and maybe he would become boss and not his brotha peter.

Re: Gene Gotti - 02/17/17 04:45 PM

@Furio

That's correct as I understand it. As I recall the plea was for 15 in 1989 instead of the full 50. He would have been looking at early 2000's potentially but never had the opportunity to even consider it.

In Al D'Arco's book he recalls seeing Gene shortly before sentencing and advising him to plead out or go into hiding as s young man starring down 50 years.

Re: Gene Gotti - 02/21/17 06:42 PM

I dont think a guilty plea for moving Babania would have necessarily meant an allocution. John Gottis fucked up I dea was to fight the law even for a parking ticket rather than plead guilty. It actually backfired and did far more harm than good by putting people away longer and causing people to flip rather than take a 50, 75 or life sentence.
