Carmine "Wagon Wheels" Fatico of Gambino Family - 11/24/16 06:12 PM

Does anyone know whose Crew Fatico was on before he was made A Capo? I've also seen differing years as to when he became a Capo. Some say 1950's and some say 1960's or 1970's.

I believe Carmine Fatico was in the crew of Peter "Petey Pumps" Ferrara. Time period was correct though. Probably late 60s. Petey Pumps crew was split up and about half that crew went into Carmine Fatico's crew. Ferrara had a huge crew, it could have possibly been split into 3, maybe 4 different crews. Namely Toddo Aurello, Carmine Fatico, Jimmy Failla, and later the Fatico crew split and Fat Andy Ruggiano made a Capo.

No. 90% of what you said is yates is not true. Pumps Ferrara was in the crew of Anthony Rizzo til 1962 than he was named capo, and it wasnt that big of a crew under 10 or 10 guys. James Failla was taken out of Pumps crew in 1967 and given a crew of his own.

Fat Andy was never capo, and Fatico was in Neils crew til the mid or late 60s when he bacame capo.Toddo aurello inherited pumps crew in 1969 when pumps died.

And all those guys including neil Dellacroce were in Armand Ravas crew till 1957 when he was murdered.

I know Dellacroce and Rava were close and Dellacroce was in his crew but Dellacroce may have already been a Capo when Rava was killed in late in 1958.

In 1957 the Big Rava crew split betwen Anthony Rizzo and Dellacroce. Fatico ended up with dellacroce as di fat Andy. Al the other guys you mention were with Rizzo. Ok raven?

And your other post about The Ravenite is interasting. If it was over 50 years ago than that would be in about 1945. So thats a big history. Althou Rava was a Brooklyn guy, lived in Brooklyn all his life. His HQ was the New corner restaurant wich is open even today. So im not too sure that it was Rava who opened the ravenite social club, but it could be.

I know the crew was split between Rizzo and Dellacroce when Rava died but it doesn't specify as to whether Rizzo and Dellacroce were newly made Capo's upon Rava's death to replace him or if they were existing Capo's and Rava's crew was dividided into their existing crews. You know what I mean?

I've read Dellacroce was a Capo since the early 1950's but I don't know if that is true.

Armand Tommy Rava was allways an Interesting guy to me, unfortunately there is very little on the net about him. He was born in january 1911 in Bklyn and supposedlly killed in Florida in 1958. But they say that he was killed by Toddo Aurello, belive it or not.

I've seen the FBI document on that. Says Rava stood up to him and told Aurello he wasn't man enough to kill someone of his stature.
