doubt this has anything to do with today's mob

It's clear the mob has been making the move to legit companies for decades now and that seems to the way to survive , with the organization and it's members serving in a helper / networking capacity . The power of toads families rest with the family with more of these interconnected businesses .

Members that are business savy is what is needed , the cowboy whacking days are done although there will still be a few killings a year I'm sure .

Just look at some of the monster companies that might get some help , a huge GC in CT , a monster GC in NYC that focuses on hospitality , projects that can be $30-$100M. Big recycling companies in JC and surrounding areas in kearmy , huge trucking companies in port Nwk . Not to mention scrap metal businesses that although different, generate loads of cash.

Gambling is the illegal ( for the time ) activity that generates millions and millions in cash. Construction , trucking and recycling is a relationship/ network business and that's where these guys come into play, some with 30+ years exp. And the smart guys dump this money into real estate for their families , and making tons of $ off of it .

Found the Vito DR story fascinating , he no doubt had millions and millions to invest somewhere , and setting up shop in a corrupt area like DR with casinos , drug routes and girls a brilliant move , perfect in almost every way. It will be curious to see what became of this possible idea / involvement and what other families come along for the ride .

My question is whether Dynamic Worldwide is what remained, in essence, of the Gambino trucking empire after it was broken-up pursuant to the 1992 plea agreement.

Or are there several other large trucking firms in which the Gambino's retain an interest?

See this NY Times article for the background = http://www.nytimes.com/1992/07/26/magazine/when-the-mob-delivered-the-goods.html?pagewanted=1

Pretty sure he's Thomas Gambino's son. Carlo Gambino and Tommy Luchese's grandson.

Gambino's were banned from the "short haul" side of the business, but not the "long haul" side -- nothing to do with a NY/NJ divide

Look at their client list -- Macy's, Lord & Taylor, Sears, Marshalls, TJ Maxx, Ralph Lauren, Calvin Klein, Abercrombie & Fitch, Armani, Juicy Couture, Lucky Brand, FootLocker

Yep your right. He looks absolutely nothing like his brother Carl though, who's the spitting image of Tommy. Maybe he got his mums looks.

Thanks for that clarification Dom

I know he had trucking interests HQ in NJ after his bust so I either just thought or heard wrong about why . He was probably just ducking the heat a bit

I honestly don't know TG but I'm sure someone here does

But it wouldn't surprise me as trucking is still one industry these guys have still clung too

With oil prices could be a great year for that industry

Evolution of this thing meant / means legit

Some got it , some didn't / don't

I will say trucking won't be total few criminal of former criminal free in certain areas of country for a some time

No idea if these guys are paying and who cares , but they definately got a knock at the door at some point and no one would know without a deep dive into paperwork .

Port newak is still a nod area for most part

Bottom line , if you want to truck to some areas , relationships are key and as nuts as the Feds are , relationshipships generally aren't illegal and not as many digging around . So some smarties have good stuff that real

But that whole mob tax thing is over, so who cares , it's legit . I don't know much but of anything but this area I did have some good info.

Anyone think Tommy Gmabino's kid kicks upto the family? Castellano's kids do. Pretty sure it was like 10-20k a month.

Doubt it but what do you consider a kick

Direct cash, god no , or doing biz with people they know

That ain't illegal and they are smart and this will always go in . Some things have been entrenched

Own a company and have good friends and things could work out for u

Just like it does for every other businessman , this is how things work and I don't get why a lot of guys are still being bothered today . Whether they admit it or not but excessive legal expenses eventually hit the consumer .

Like I sad earlier , way more things on the priority list as they should be
I only hope they are using common sense instead of spending hours following someone that just knows someone
