Nicodemo " Hit "

I know this was posted back when it happened.

And it is being brought up in a different thread.

But someone here with some intelligence please tell me, what they think happened.

And also when is the trial starting ?
And does anyone know if there is any new evidence... ?

Cos no way they did the hit left the gun in the car and ran in the house.

At least Nicodemo goes to a different spot to get himself together.

His defense is that he was parked across from the crime scene and
the shooter was unknown to him and ran across the street and jumped into his car and then forced him to drive him away at gunpoint. Then Nicodemo claims he ran into his house out of fear.

He just left the gun and took the canolis

I dont think the retrial is scheduled until early next year, i havent seen anything about any new evidence.

His defense is so stupidly ridiculous, I'm surprised his defense attorney didn't just tell him to cooperate.

Nicodemo's defense is so stupid I almost believe it. It's a planned it and you are just going to run home right afterwards, leave the gun in the car and use your own vehicle for the job? I don't think the whole story is known. Something had to have went wrong in order for Nicodemo (am accomplished hittman himself) to panic and drive home.

As a defense, I think the defense has to have something up it's sleeve. Nicodemo seems confident he'll get off. I'm guessing the "drove away at gunpoint" story is their hope of putting enough doubt into at least one jury's mind in order to not convict him. After all, they can't prove he was not carjacked, can they? From what I remember the prosecution has some evidence that contradicts the defense's claim, but it's not damning.

That's not been proven, he's rumoured to have been involved in one previous murder but we don't know if he's ever pulled the trigger.

He's doomed, Teddy. But I agree with a lot of your post. I think his best shot is to have his lawyer admit that he's a seasoned gangster.

Through all my years i have never gone to any trial .

I just think the chances that it was anything other than him committing a murder , or being a party to a murder, are remarkably slim. Is it strange? Yes. But it being anything other than his own incompetence would be even stranger.

What from his past proves that he will become a rat? I'm not saying he won't, but he's toughed it out this long. This December will now be two years he's sat in prison awaiting trial without flipping yet. How many guys that have come up in the Merlino faction have become rats? Natale is the only one I can think of, and he was an associate during the Bruno days that Joey played like a sucker anyways.

And yes, the retrial won't happen until the beginning of 2015 at the earliest.

I don't know much about Philly, and I don't really care one way or the other. But being in lockup for two years awaiting trial, is worlds apart from hearing the words thirty to life at sentencing.

You are 100% correct and I agree with you on that point. As with any mobster in this day and age, if convicted, there is a chance that he will flip. He's relatively young with kids and a beautiful wife at home I'm sure he'd like to see (not behind glass) again. I was just trying to point out that I think it would be wrong to assume that it is a slam dunk guarantee that he will flip.

Yep I say there is no way he flips until he is at least convicted. I'd go up there and take care of his wife for him if he wants....haha

Two hour wait on a regular summer night ,and no reservations..
But the bar out on the bay out back is a good spot to hang and wait...

Beautiful area. I used to get down to Margate every so often in the summer. I'd always say that Longport is to Margate what Wildwood Crest used to be to Wildwood. Nicer. Quieter. More mature. But that analogy doesn't hold up anymore. Because the last time I was in Wildwood it had really changed .

Longport and Margate are still nice,I was real lucky to get my house from family.
I could never buy a house there now.

It's a shame, too. Back in the '70s and even into the '80s, Wildwood was great. Those old '50s style motels were the fucking coolest thing. Not anymore, though .

I can't figure it,the beaches are still the biggest from boards to ocean. The boardwalk is still there,you would think it would still be the perfect place for the little motels .
I just do not understand where the people sleep.
The parkway jams on Friday southbound ,does not let up until sat at 7:00 at night. Only to turn it around and go right back sun am.
Where do they all stay,there are the campgrounds that are off the barrier island ,they could be taking some..
But that parkway is a parking lot ,they are going somewere..

The crest isn't as bad as wildwood. I still get down to the crest a couple times a year.

Margate and Longport are great. Its not really a bar scene anymore. Only a couple left. Those old houses get bought, torn down and two houses go up or condos. I still love it down there. During the week its still quiet. Even ventor, especially ventor heights, its really nice. I will be down there this weekend. the only time to go to Wildwood is during the week to hit the rides up with your kids or the waterpark. Ocean city doesn't live up to that. Childwood is the nickname. But I guess if your 21, it be some fun as they have a lot of bars. The Irish like it down there to. Its also the only beach were you will see more multiple black and ricans. Its just different. Cool to see you guys talking about the shore.

We have had our families house since the 70s. I think they said they paid like 20 30K back then. LOL. And I forgot, Wildwood does have Diamond beach. Very secluded.
