Speaking of associates in the mob. Are there some that made more money than made men?
I'd say heaps of associates would have made more money than made guys as...
until the made guys found out about it.
The made guys may have grabbed a taste. But associates like Angelo Ponte and Carmine Franco have still made more in their lifetimes than ninety percent of the mob
captains, let alone made guys. There have have been plenty of made guys who walked around with nothing but lint in their pockets
.
I thought all four Ponte brothers were made guys in the Westside Pizza boy?
That's incorrect. I recently made a post about that in another thread. The Westside does not generally make garbage guys. There's too much money at stake, too many licenses at risk. You could lose your carting license to an anti-trust violation, and you can commit an anti-trust violation just by being a mafia member. They don't need anything else to pull your license. It's a cash cow with BILLIONS at stake. The Westside isn't going to risk that to burn a Saint and prick your finger. They are not your typical goombah crew of brokesters.
Now there have certainly been a few exceptions in some smaller carting companies. But the real heavyweights like Franco and Ponte were never made for the reasons I just stated. And anyone who claims differently either doesn't know what they're talking about or they're living out a mafia based fantasy.
