Like in the report it basically says that sharpton was gonna get hemmed up on some federal charges and flipped, being in new york his whole life and wanting to get things done and free money I could see him being an informant, the only thing is when mobsters flipped or even wrote some books why would they never mention sharpton being involved in any level?

From reading the article it seems he was only involved with a small group of mobsters, specifically in the music business. Also it should be noted that it doesn't in any of the fbi reports mention sharp ton by name and from reading them alone i don't see how you could jump to the conclusion that it is him. Also this smoking gun article uses anonymous sources who are supposed ex task force members so take it for what its worth.
