Chicago Outfit question - North suburbs??

Lots of good Outfit threads over the past couple months.

With so much centered on the southwest and west suburbs, I was wondering if there was any activity left in the North suburbs- Highwood, Highland Park, Glencoe, etc?

Solly D lives in Wauconda and likely runs Lake County. I would assume the North Shore still has things happening. Though most Outfit activity (and their political ties) tend to be the immediate west or south suburbs.

The north burbs/north shore is traditionally largely Jewish.

Thanks. I knew/know of a connected bookie that operates out of Highwood, but haven't heard all that much from that area, as opposed to the west and south 'burbs.

I doubt it. Wealthy people have little use for juice, although it's possible they could still have prostitution, sports books, etc. I've never heard of a single thing up there, honestly.

Particularly these days the active Outfit seems to be relegated to more blue collar areas.

I'd seriously doubt it. I'd also ask where you heard these "whispers"? Let's pretend for a minute the Outfit broke its silence as of late and whacked the 1st guy since who Little Tony Zizzo? I'd very seriously doubt they'd risk the exposure murdering this fuckin hump from Highwood. Guy was clearly a nobody in terms of the organized crime. He wasn't taking book or lending juice out of his place in Highwood that much I can guarantee. So one would possibly assume he borrowed and couldn't pay back, which lead to his demise. More over though the Outfit even in severe hits of the past have rarely been this ruthless. Whoever did this burnt a man alive and burnt down his house in one of the "safest suburban areas" in all of Chicago. This would appear to me to be the work of the Cartel I would imagine. They have a deeper reach throughout Chicago as of now and have been known to extend into HIghwood and the North Chicago area.

All good man, wasn't heated about it at all just tryna stir a little conversation. I'm from Chicago and still live here, only reason I even brought it up was to see if anyone had additional info because this whole thing has been pretty hush hush since it went down. Lot of speculation around the city and suburbs but nobody really knows what went down.

And again for the benefit of the doubt you could be 1000% right and it was an Outfit hit, I just assumed as much it was Cartel related because I heard not only did they burn down his house while he was asleep there were rumors his hands were cut off before they burnt the house down. Again though, I have no real idea what did and didn't go down and am basing my assumptions off of hear say.

No worries. May have gotten it from this. My only question is why only local and FBI, but no DEA? Weird for sure.
