I think your right on that Skinny. I think it is Gotti's old place. But didn't he have a sat dish on his roof? Probably just not in the shot.

Re: Mafiosi homes - 09/07/13 07:56 PM

I have to learn how to get pictures onto the screen..do u scan them?
I know how to do the little chips in the phones and stuff.

But i have great pictures on regular photos,i have one the living room of carmine Persicos house on the farm...you wont belieave what u see when u walk in...200 very collectible muskets that surround the hole room at the top..to the right is a 4ft picture of Muhammad Ali autographed.weird but true.and a lot of hand panted pictures of him and susie and him together.I would say that when you were in jail like he was a is there are not many photos of him the ones you see are the court and mug shots dam shame. He is -was a civil war type collector...Ally house is real nice..shame they will never see them again.

But how do i do photos from in front of me to the screen?
sorry but when i was in school we did not even type.
yes that old.

Re: Mafiosi homes - 09/07/13 08:22 PM

Serpiente when did persico buy the farm, he's pretty much been in jail since 71 besides that two year break, did he buy the farm than? also do you have. any pictures of scarfo and the boys?
Posted By: Serpiente

Re: Mafiosi homes - 09/07/13 08:47 PM

Never asked when it was bought but i know it was in pieces,if you knew the area you would see what i mean, part of it was a grave yard so they had to wait to get that part, then had to wait send letters all over to move the graves..the graves were already 90 years old from what i was told.Like Allys house was a adjacent piece but right next but connected.I is huge ,they have to big tractors and they cut and when they r done start over, and there is a hill side, "mountain if you will, that is all wooded along with other parts, there is a carousel for the kids a boat ride in water like on cony island, great pool larger then i have ever seen on a property, allmost like a city pool, area out door bar tvs i can go on...

Scarfo pic yes but it is when we were young, out in the street with other kids ,but we did not have phones then ...and we were in our teens and twenteys last thing we are thinking about was a pic. the only reason i have them of the farm because it was like a vacation ,we would spend weeks up there..and yes i am aware carmine was hardly ever there..but he was when he was home he loved that place..
Shit i was there as a kid, and Casso and his wife and Joyce was there ,Carmine and a guy i can't say the name was with them, shooting with him.they have a range there.
more ask if i can say it i will.

Re: Mafiosi homes - 09/07/13 08:52 PM

Soldier Nicodemo lives right down the street from Uncle - the whole area and most of south Philly is row homes for those not familiar...Johnny Chang around the corner - they are all not far from one another except for Nico who's being housed by the Feds now...not sure where Mazzone lives..
Just a quick bit of news from mob reporter Dave Schratweiser - apparently there is a big beef between old scarfo brothers and ligambi/Joey brothers - big verbal fight out in public the other day .. He wouldn't give the names but my guess is mazzone and maybe narduccis ... Things could get interesting if lot of money at play

Yes, it is Gotti's house and Ligambi. I used to live in Ozone Park in the 90's and now I am in the Philly area.
Dopey of me, didn't realize you could right click and see the name of the photo. Both pics are from Google maps street view.
I have some others I remember from Brooklyn, will post soon. Cool site guys.

A guy on another forum said the argument was between Phil Ligambi and Philip Narducci. He seemed pretty sure of it.

This one is in a froofroo part of Brooklyn, and its previous owner will never see its gaudy current renovation as his new residence is in Supermax. Any idea of the original owner, hint, he had an "issue" with the architect?

I thought I remembered where Vic Amuso's house was in Howard Beach, but now when I look at it on Google, it doesn't ring a bell, maybe his family had a big reno. I will try to think of some others.

wild bills house is (was?) really nice.. classy and not all fucking gaudy.. nice without standing out.. unlike casso's house.. place looks like a piece of 80's art gone wrong.like if tony Montana and andy Warhol decided to design a house.

According to Al D´Arco, Casso ordered Anthony Fava killed because Fava knew about illegal deals relative to Casso's home. Anthony Fava was the architect who designed Casso´s house. He had also done work on the 19th Hole, the Bay Ridge bar/hangout of Casso and Amuso, and La Donna Rosa, an eatery owned by D'Arco's son, Joseph. But it´s unclear what those "illegal deals" were.

This is not the definition of gaudy. It's modern. I love it. We just built a house like this over here in Jersey for a guy, and it looks pretty similar. Everything on the inside is built in..all the furniture, etc..all built in. It looks very similar to this.
Of course you have to like this modern/contemporary style, but it's not gaudy.
I actually like this one better than the one we built.

I agree I like modern/contemporary houses. Although they have to be drawn architecturally correct. I like that house and trust me I would love to live there, but I think that the shape of some of the house is not exactly appealing to the masses and myself. I think they tried to do too much, and if they just kept it a little simpler it would be a great house.

Not a mobster house but cool to visit around Halloween, oddball hell house on Daniel Rd in Massapequa Long Island surrounded by very normal houses.

Re: Mafiosi homes - 09/18/13 09:11 PM

Casso's house isn't gaudy, but the shape is very different. So if you don't look at it with an open mind, you probably won't find it aesthetically pleasing.

Here are the homes of the following Mafia Members:

1. Lenine "Lenny" Strollo- Made Member of LaRocca Crime Family, Pittsburgh and former boss of the Youngstown, OH rackets before flipping in 1999. Here is his house that has since been sold but the FBI had the entire house bugged and this is where Lenny was arrested back in December of 1997>

Charlie would be 102 right now, as that photo is from the late 1980's. That house had gun turrets, a panic room with an underground elevator and when it was built in the 1960's, it was considered a palace...obviously times have changed and the guys from Pittsburgh/Youngstown/Cleveland didn't like to advertise who they were

Well it's for sale right now and it obviously hasn't had a thing done to upgrade it since it was built in the 50's. Ugly is ugly. But for that price, I'd knock the whole inside down and re do.

A renovation would be ideal, especially in that zip code. A very nice area, especially with many of the new homes that have built around the country club.

Guys like Casso, Palermo and the rest of the NJ boys always have to show off and build mega mansions...then file Chapter 11 when they get sent to the can. Or like Joey Naples from Youngstown, you could build the mansion and piss off everybody then get shot a few months before you move in because you were too flashy. Better to duck than to advertise...like Gambino, live modestly and quietly...not like Castellano...It seems to be a trend for mobsters in NJ and NY to act like the Jersey Housewives and their husbands.

In my real life experiences: Guys like Charlie and Michael would only be considered "flashy" by the size of their bankrolls and the number of 3lb. coffee cans buried wherever ;-)

Today they use pvc piping instead of the coffee cans. One guy Joe Vito had over a million buried in his yard. Him and his brother have a large sports book.
