Organization of the Current Outfit - 08/04/13 05:58 AM

Do you all think guys on the street are kicking up to their area street bosses or Capos of the crew? Mainly I am talking about 26th Street and Cicero. Or is it pretty much now whatever you earn from shy or book you keep and money no longer flows up?

As for Elmwood Park, namely Johnny DiFronzo and his brothers, do you think any money is illegally obtained from Aruba (i.e. any skim) or is it all legally made at this point?

Chicago (the poster) is the best one to answer your question but he hasn't been around in a while and I'm wondering if he's perhaps bailed on the board. Or maybe just on vacation or taking a break.

Ya i think chicago and cookcounty both got a weeks vacation for arguing. See the "women groped in court" thread in the general discussion forum to see why.

As long as there is some type of hierarchical structure in place, money is going to flow up. What the percentage is varies and is anyone's guess.

My question is, which crew was Posner associated with when he was in Chicago? At this point, there's just rumors about his continued connections to the Outfit and it's usually a DiFronzo connection.

Maybe a "forced" vacation? Like a week or so? Cookcounty may have got the same.

As the others said he was suspended, i'm not sure for how long though. Here's the thread - http://www.gangsterbb.net/threads/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=730311#Post730311

Ivy, Posner belonged to Joe Nagall and the Cicero Crew back in the 80's They were the overseers of gambling interests..Chicago is MISSED out here counteracting the groupies...:)

Chicago Crime Commission had Posner under Elmwood Park in the late 1990's.

Re: Organization of the Current Outfit - 08/05/13 03:44 AM

I will say the Posner thing is interesting. It is the one factual link between the Outfit and contemporary gaming\offshore casinos etc.

A good investigative journalist might have a field day with that one.

Chicago is not necessarily the best person to answer this particular question. As was pointed out previously, his notions are outdated & his sources unreliable.

Re: Organization of the Current Outfit - 08/05/13 05:30 AM

He is by far the most reliable poster on the Outfit this board has ever seen. Period.

Re: Organization of the Current Outfit - 08/05/13 05:34 AM

There was an expose on Michael Posner after the Natalee Holloway incident in 2006.

http://abclocal.go.com/wls/story?section=news&id=3936339

The article lists Posner as in charge of gambling and prostitution in Lake County. It appears he has a 1987 conviction for gambling, extortion, and the usual. According to the federal BOP website, he was released in 1992.

http://articles.chicagotribune.com/1987-...l-investigators

The above article mentions that Posner belonged to Ferriola in Cicero.

The first article claims that he has run the casino since 1998. Wikipedia lists Posner as also running two other Aruban casinos. If true, this would be around the time that Elmwood Park retreated.

This is pure speculation, but perhaps in exchange for ceding control of street rackets to the Southside crews, Elmwood picked up the casinos. If I had to guess, I would say 99% of what occurs at the Excelsior is legal. It's a cash cow for DiFronzo and his pals.

If you look at other articles related to Posner, it seems that his relative, likely a brother or nephew since he has no kids, is also running the show.

As has been indicated by a vast majority of members 'Chicago' is the most accurate poster concerning the outfit.

His statements are supported by explanation and reason.

Overriding consensus is his information and contribution exceeds that of any other contributor concerning the Outfit.

This includes your good self.

He is clearly one of the few on this site (along with Johnnynonos and Gary Martin) who are realistic about the current state of the Outfit. Unsless i missed it no one has succesfully discredited Chicago yet.

Apparently it's been proven that the user: Chitown used dead members to increase the outfits size (which makes me feel sad for what his existence must entail) frown . His photos have been proven to have came from Facebook also, so i don't see how Chitown can point out that anyone's "notions are outdated & his sources unreliable" .

Re: Organization of the Current Outfit - 08/05/13 08:36 AM

His knowledge of the Outfit pre-early 80s is pretty staggering. After that, it gets quite murky. Deny it all you want. There are very (very) few quality posters here, so "general consensus" doesn't mean much at all.

There's no point in talking about Chicago anymore because he can speak for himself when he gets back and also i don't really care ohwell . Where have i implied that the majority of the site agrees with me on this though?

Didn't Chicago say he doesn't know much about the current state of the outfit? He knows a hell of a lot about the old days mind.

As far ask can tell he knows a lot about today; at least his assessments jibe with everything I've read etc.

It's apparently just one casino. Ivy can explain why.

I don't think it was really a deal between Elmwood Park and Cicero/26th Street as it was Johnny DiFronzo TELLING them this is what we are doing...The other crews were in no position to do a damn thing even if they disliked it.. 2000-2002 or so let's see??? Johnny "Apes" Monteleone from 26th Street died in 01 I think, Marcello AND Inendino were still in jail. Sarno and Zizzo were feuding i.e. the others weren't in a position to do a damn thing about it and WHY WOULD THEY COMPLAIN?? Johnny left the streets and all the profits from it TO THEM..They could operate as they pleased with NO INTERFERENCE from Elmwood Park.

LOL FROM FACEBOOK CAMAREL?? I'M SOOOOOOOOO NOT SURPRISED !!!! When was it deemed that is so though that he did that??? That pic of Marco D'Amico that he posted from a bar called "The Grotto" was legit as to the person and location but EVERYBODY in the near Western Suburbs of Chicago KNOWS that Marco goes there often and a million diff people could have taken that picture. The one with Dote and a Des Plaines mayor looks like it was taken from a newspaper lol.

Posner runs one casino - the Excelsior. The casino used to be called the Grand Hotel Casino and it is located within the Holiday Inn Resort. Somebody apparently got it wrong along the way, assuming these were three different casinos, and posted it on Wikipedia.

Re: Organization of the Current Outfit - 08/06/13 04:15 PM

Posner is a High Level Associate of Elmwood Park. Marco D'Amico deals with him the most.
If you google Marco D'Amico Aruba, You'll see he's a registrant.

Re: Organization of the Current Outfit - 08/06/13 04:22 PM

Johnny does not take any tribute from the Southern Group and has not gotten any for years.

I don't understand why it is so hard to accept the fact that He retreated with Lombardo and their top men years ago?

That's why there is no hard feelings at all between Cicero and Elmwood Park.

Re: Organization of the Current Outfit - 08/06/13 07:47 PM

So if no one's kicking up how is it still one Outfit?

From what you say it almost sounds like it's two entirely different entities with nothing to do with each other.

Aside from knowing each other and having no beef about anything, you are basically correct.
