you should do the Chicago heights from the 20s to the 70s/80s/90s

state line in calumet city was the original "sin city" before las vegas

you can still find whatever you want on state line

Chicago Heights was originally a separate Mafia Family with its own Mafia bosses. Antonino Sanfilippo was the first. He was killed in 1924, followed by Phil Piazza. He was killed, I think, in 1926. Then the Capones took over under Dominic Roberto. Torrio had already established a foothold there earlier.

I recommend Matt Luzi's book The Boys from Chicago Heights for more info.

The Cicero people still control a good deal of Calumet state line action. And yes, there is a LOT to be had out that way. Extremely grimy though.

Frank LaPorte was a very strong Boss. After LaPorte it was Al Pilotto.
After Pilotto it was Al Tocco.

The Chicago Height Crew was the forgotton Powerhouse. They were more powerful than people give them credit for in the old days.
They had a lot of influence in Willow Springs. In fact, under Al Pilotto, they had tremendous clout with the Police. Wide open Gambling.
