I think hes eligible for parol in a few months. Anybody have any idea about the likelihood he'll get it? If he does, what will his status in the Jersey Lucchese crew be?

he was up for parole in august, anyone know if he got out? I'm sure the information has to be online somewhere but I do not know where to look for such things

He is still listed in the NJ offender database, so I assume he didn't make it. He only has until May before he gets out anyway.

It's insane. I don't care how much money he might of made, no way it's worth 20 years living in a cage. Look at the philly guys getting out now that were locked up in the late 1980's. It must be some serious culture shock coming out 25 years later.

Like Snakes said Taccetta maxes out in May so he doesn't have that much more to do.

Genie Gotti and John Carneglia will be getting out in 2018 after spending close to THIRTY years in the can.

Rosario Gambino did close to thirty too. Went in back in 84 here in the US, was deported a few years ago and went directly to a prison in Italy. The italians finally cut him loose late last year. So between here and Italy he served around 28 years.

Re: Michael taccetta the real tony - 09/30/13 09:14 PM

Of course none of them would have had to serve that long if John had let them plead guilty. Now look at the Genovese today where plea bargaining is just part of the process. If a guy with a lot of weight takes a plea and goes away, another guy is coming out at the same time after a 3-5 year sentence to take his place. It's really one of the reasons they were able to stay on top of the heap after Chin went away.

Joseph "Chickie" Ciancaglini gets out finally in 2015 so he's another guy that will end up serving close to 30 years. Fuck that...it just isn't worth it.

Did his brother martin get natural life or is he out.

He got straight up life. He isn't leaving prison except in a hearse.

Martin Taccetta is in Trenton State prison....i'd rather be dead then doing a life sentence in that shithole prison.

Re: Michael taccetta the real tony - 09/30/13 10:28 PM

martin got a pretty raw deal, he got 30 years, got off on appeal, then they overturned the appeal along with a bunch of other charges, now he's gonna die in prison.

If he gets out soon, i gotta think hes gonna be underneath the Pernas, they seem to be pretty firmly in charge of that crew.

Re: Michael taccetta the real tony - 10/02/13 01:31 AM

I could definitely see things shaking up within the Jersey Lucchese's with Taccetta about to get out after 20 years of keeping his mouth shut. That coupled with Ralph Perna and both his sons all about to start their sentences from Operation Heat (unless they've started already) as well as Michael Perna finally getting out in 2015 after serving 25 years himself. It's not crazy to imagine Micheal Perna and Michael Taccetta taking a larger role to fill the void left by Ralph, John, and Little Joe. Michael P and Taccetta were once very closely aligned even if it was in the 80s-90s.

Re: Michael taccetta the real tony - 10/02/13 02:44 AM

Is brother Marty Taccetta under indictment with Pernas et al for Operation Heat back in '07?

Also, what was the outcome of Operation Heat?

20 years... sheesh... THAT's a stand up guy....

Re: Michael taccetta the real tony - 10/02/13 08:50 PM

@FrankMazola -

Marty wasn't named in the indictments, its sad to say but I believe he's probably completely uninvolved with organized crime at this point because he's of no use to the Lucchese's.

Other than that I'm not positive there has been an official outcome to Operation Heat yet. I know within the last year there was an official investigation into where Ralph Perna Sr.'s legal funds where coming from and if they were possibly laundered money. I don't believe they official sentences have been handed down but Joe D and Matty Madonna are likely facing life as they're both in their late 70s. Ralph Perna Sr as well as he's looking at 20 years just for being named acting Capo, not to mention the additional charges. All 3 of his sons are now 2 and 3 time losers so they'll all receive 10 yrs just for the conspiracy charges. Add the charges for attempting to smuggle phones and drugs into a federal prison, unless the prosecution fumbles this case it would seem to be a lay up and would look like the Perna men won't be out for at least a decade.

^^all my info/assumptions are completely based off of this article. I haven't read much since this all came down in 2010 about it and have no stock in this story as I'm not from Jersey or anywhere close by.

Re: Michael taccetta the real tony - 10/02/13 09:07 PM

I'm pretty sure Marty was indicted. But they might of dropped it since he's doing a life bid anyway in Trenton State Prison.

Taccetta is on the Operation Heat chart the state put out.

My mistake man, you're right I'm definitely wrong. I guess Marty IS still involved. Definitely surprises me but I guess when you're already doing life what's the difference it's not like they can give you more time. Honestly, good for him too. Cause as much trouble as you can from the inside, fuck em if they can't take a joke

well when he was indicted he was on the outside because he won an appeal, then when he was indicted in operation heat the supreme court overturned his appeal giving him a life sentence. and your right giancarlo, the govt said "it was not in their interests to bring anymore charges agianst martin bc of his life sentence."

Re: Michael taccetta the real tony - 10/03/13 12:57 AM

When Marty was out he was definately a player , below Perna but still definately earning

He used to pay the staff and close out the restaurant and do sit downs, drinking expresos that lasted until 7am. Because of this and other activity they raided the restaurant and took their computers

This case has dragged out for so long , I don't see these guys doing a ton of time , 5 years or so but I could be wrong due to priors , depends on the judge . The kids only did a year or 2 on prior gambling busts .

It's basically a trumped up gambling and sharking case . I agree it could amount to a life sentence for some of the older guys . Their book is huge tho , I know of a lot of people that did action with them , even me , lol

Mike Perna should just be getting out when they go in so the biz will keep going strong

Just for the record, he was named as a captain in the case, not acting captain.
