Top 5 Richest captains (alive) - 06/15/13 11:56 PM

I thought this would be a thread that would be easier to discuss, since these guys are alive.

In this thread, list 5 captains (that are still alive) that you think have the most money locked away. Not guys who have been id'd as administration/former admin (panels are ok tho), just captains or less who are still alive who have the most money.

Pure guesses Skinny please tell me if i'm completely off with my thinking but this is what i'd say. In no particular order.

1.John Gambino
2.Liborio Bellomo
3.Ralph Perna
4.Joe Dente
5.Patsy Conte

I know Bellomo and Gambino have run their families at one point but because they currently aren't i think they could count. I imagine some of these are probably laughed at but from FBI reports and some reliable posters including yourself Skinny this is what i've came up with.

Pat Conte! Good choice, i completely agree bro, never thought of him. He owned key foods or something right? JG made a ton from dope and construction.

I wasnt going to include barney myself but he would be on my list if he wasnt labeled a former acting boss.

Joe dente sr is dead and junior was bumped down.

Many people believe ralph is the more powerful of the Perna bros, but it is actually Mike. Ralph is just a bookie, Mike is a gangster.

It's hard to know unless you have inside info. But I'll take a crack at it.

In no particular order: John Gambino, Dominic Truscello, Tony Rabito, Ernie Muscarella, Neil Migilore, Patsy Conte, Tori LoCascio, Allie Malangone, Silvio DeVita and Tony Fredrici

2.Salvatore Catalano, Former Bonnano skipper, heroin kingpin,
3.Tommy Gambino, Carlos son, infamous racketeer
4.Torre LoCascio, semi retired Gambino capo and internet porn mogul

Instead of Dente and Bellomo, how about Frank Illiano and Sal LoCascio?

You're dead on about LoCascio camarel. The guy has made millions. He's set for life. I had him too. Not sure bout Illiano, but I would say to a certain degree all the senior west side captains are loaded

Fair enough. But you had 10 lol, and some of their positions are debatable, not definite capos or below, especially people like Muscerella and Migliore who wouldn;t fit Skinnys specifications.

I put Neil on there because skinny said being on a panel was okay. Ernie was acting boss at one point so I made a mistake there but he's still a captain I think

Tommy Gambino, even though he's retired, he's still alive and enjoying his millions.

I feel like guys like tory and mike franeze cheated haha, they got everything off one hustle. Ernie is rich dont get me wrong but not on a level with some other guys out there. A lot of westside and lucchese guys would be left off my list according to my qualifications haha. My list is also a lot different than it would be if it was 5 yrs ago. Matty Horse, Tino F, Andy G....

Just off the top of my head id say Allie Shades Malangone, Tony Parkside, Vinny Dinapoli, Matty Madonna, Danny Marino, Pat Conte, and others, i will think more about it later

Forgot about Marino, he's loaded. Probably one of the most powerful guys in New York.

Forget about Fed. He is a well off restaurateur, but does not have the cash many of the other people being mentioned do.

I initially had Madonna but swapped him for Dente mainly because of his pending sentence.

Ovation, no disrespect here, but you dont know what your talking about. On top of having a ton of street stuff for 40 years, he had a big chunk of the carting/trucking industry on li. I wouldnt include him as the number two in my list if i wasnt sure he had any money

Skinny, I don't claim to know anything near what you do about the street. This is the one situation that I will not back down on. There are an array of reasons and you clearly don't have to believe me if you don't want to. Your call.

Ovation, no problem here. Not looking to convince anyone of anything. I just know too much about him to be convinced based on ur word alone.

im picking johnny g gammarano this guy just makes tons of cash and everyone likes. him and jojo corrozo brokerd a deal in the early 90tys to skim 15000 slots machines in new Orleans weekly splittine it with 2 bosses down there, he 's related to dan marino him and watts loansharked together and he ran and robbed contruction in nyc for decades. jr gotti wanted to kill him, gravano liked him but called him a weasel. is he still alive. jr gotti had that Charles carneg and sneakers hiding in a closet ready to kill him and marino if a sitdown didn't go hisway but watts sabotaged it with extra guys at the sitdown, jr gotti must be happy tht would have been a life sentence today. there got to be a massino capo still around and powerfull on the street.

Johnny G is still around, he just got out of prison last year. He might have restrictions on him but i'm not sure on that.

I think Marino gets out next year.
