Were these events ever in the news in the US?
Between 2000 and 2006 several people from the Turkish community in Germany were killed. The police suspected the "Turkish mafia" and never investigated about Nazis. In fact, some of the grieving family members became suspects.
Only in 2011, it became clear that a Nazi gang was responsible.
