I wore all that goofy stuff too. Shag carpets, hookah beads, and bell bottoms. Thank God the fashionistas brought it all back, especially the collars. Remember when collars were as wide as our shoulders?

So true. To make a quick point: This website started out as a tribute to "The Godfather." Right? Now tell me you don't remember when the movie actually came out like it was yesterday?

And that was 41 years ago. I was 12 going on 13 at the time, but I remember standing on line at the old movie house on Fordham Road like it was last week. I saw it with my father, my uncle and BOTH and my grandfathers (who were both born on the other side). I think it was the first time I "male bonded."

Every self respecting wise guy in the Bridgeport Neighborhood had a shirt just like that back in the day!
