Marineo Sicily-heavy mafia activity??

i heard from a guy from Alia who lived in Marineo for a few years said not much mob in that town, is it true bc i also have heard the opposite and its heavy in mob activity w a strong fam

This is in Palermo, of course there's heavy mafia presence. But you can live in a town for a number of years and never know what's going on around you in Sicily. But even if you don't know them, they know you. mwah lol.
It's just not one of the more mafia entrenched towns is all.

One of the most famous families to come from there is the Greco family. You can probably google about them. Anyhow, there's still mafia there today.
