"Goodfellas don't sue goodfellas, Goodfellas kill goodfellas."
That was Salvatore Profaci caught on a bug in John Stanfa's lawyers office during the Stanfa-Merlino war. Is Profaci Joe Profaci's son?
The small contingent of Colombo members in New Jersey has also felt the impact of law enforcement. Caporegime Salvatore Profaci, a resident of Holmdel, was convicted of mail fraud in December of 1985 and sentenced to four years in federal prison. Profaci has had extensive involvement in the food industry in New Jersey. Since his release from prison in 1988, he is again employed in that industry in Edison.
this is the only info i can find on him. joe parfaci's brother was named salvatore and was the consig....but the time frame wouldn't line up correctly for that to be the same guyy.
It´s complicated...
There were 3 (!) Salvatore Profacis listed by FBI as members of the Colombo Family. They were all named after Salvatore Profaci, the father of Joseph Profaci (the boss) and his three brothers Emanuele, Salvatore and Frank.
Salvatore Profaci Jr (son of Salvatore Profaci Sr, brother of Joseph) was born in 1935 but died in 1978.
The other two Salvatore Profacis was Salvatore "Sam" (born in 1934) and son of Frank Profaci (I believe), and Salvatore Joseph (born in 1936) son of Joseph Profaci (the boss).
"Our" Salvatore Profaci (who was the capo of the Colombos in the 1980s and 1990s) seems to be the son of late Joseph Profaci (the boss). If Phats source is correct (I assume that it is) the info matches the FBI´s listing address of Salvatore Joseph which is 6 Galewood Drive, Holmdel, NJ.
