Carneglia brothers - 03/29/11 12:39 AM

Anyone have insights to these guys?

I know Charles was a ruthless killer, but what about John?

Any stories about hits or rackets these guys were into?

John was a killer too. And, of course, he was involved in the crews standard rackets like gambling and hijacking. And later became involved with Ruggerio in the heroin trade.

Was it not Ruggerio & he that botched the disposal of Sonny Red for the Bonnano's? Or was it Philly Lucky? Goddammit Im gonna have to look it up.

From Wikipedia
In 1981, Carneglia allegedly disposed of the bodies of Giaccone, Trinchera, and Indelicato. The three capos had been plotting against imprisoned Bonanno boss Philip Rastelli. As a favor to Rastelli, Castellano allowed Rastelli associates to ambush the men in a Gambino social club, and then give the three bodies to Carneglia for disposal. Carneglia allegedly buried the corpses in a vacant lot close to his house in Queens. In 2004, children playing in the lot discovered one of the bodies.

It beggars belief the stupidity in the dumping of the bodies of the 3 Capo's.
How they could be daft enough to leave a watch and a bankcard on the victims - ok so nowerdays its possible to DNA test them to ID them but in 1981 it wasnt and the removal of personal items that could ID a body should have been mandatory.

When Indelicato's body was found a few weeks after it occured - how come the cops didnt thoroughly search the area then?

Was Favara's body found?
Was Tommy DeSimone dumped there too?
