Richard Kuklinski

Hello.

I've read Carlo's book "Iceman" and I know that Kuklinski bullshitted about being involved in the Galante, Castellano and Jimmy Hoffa hits.
This makes me wonder how accurate the book was?
Has the FBI actually confirmed that Kuklinski was working for DeMeo as much as he claimed to be?
At one point the book claimed that the Iceman even went to Brazil to kill 2 drug supplying brothers in 1980 because DeMeo and Gaggi didnt want to pay them any more!
After the carry on Roy had the previous year with Chris Rosenberg screwing over some Cubans I cant believe the Brazil story is true?
Did Kuklinski also really whack Robert Pronge?
Anyone offer more insight on the Iceman?

It's typical for any book authored by Phil Carlo. He is notorious for his lack of fact checking and lazy journalism. Same for the book he did on Gaspipe Casso.

I've read his Iceman and Gaspipe books - dont think I'll bother with his Tommy Karate one.

I'll go for "Underboss" (Gravano) instead.

Actually, i personally thought of the three that the Tommy Karate book was the best! Even though he (Carlo) contrives to recreate actual conversations, opinions & states of mine, for some reason i found it to be a much better book then Gaspipe & especially Ice-Man. Shit, perhaps it was because of the three, Tommy Karate is the only one he never personally interviewed.

Its funny though, how some people love them & are completely convinced in Carlo's journalistic skill. There's a guy at work who loves the IceMan & is 100% certain that Kuklinski did everything he claimed to. I once tried to point out that while he definitely was a killer, he also wildly exxagerated about his prowess & many of his claims are innaccurate.
I mentioned that a bunch of the murders to claimed he commited have been disproven or are just highly unlikely, such as his claim of killing Roy DeMeo amongst others.
The guys rebuke? "Nah mate, i know it's true; i've seen the documentary, and he explains it all himself!"

I've begun to doubt exactly how much buisness Kuklinski actually got from DeMeo.
Did he even know DeMeo at all? - did he simply latch onto the name Demeo for its infamy?
I dont doubt that the Iceman is a stone cold killer but he has way way over exaggarated his claims!!!
