Henry Hill shows up at set of new Gotti movie drun - 06/13/09 12:40 AM

HENRY Hill, the lovable mobster played by Ray Liotta in "Goodfellas" (1990), has become a pathetic, racist drunk, according to witnesses who saw him recently. Last week, "Crazy" Sal Polisi -- who testified against John Gotti at the Dapper Don's trial in 1986, and went into the witness protection program when Gotti was acquitted -- brought Hill to the Los Angeles set of "The Sinatra Club," the movie Polisi wrote about Gotti's first social club. "It was 10 a.m., and Hill was blitzed. He was pathetic," one cast member told Page Six. "And then he starts dropping the N-bomb. And we have black guys on the crew . . . He was escorted off and out." The picture stars Jason Gedrick as Polisi, Danny Nucci as Gotti, Michael Nouri as Carmine Fatico, Joey Lawrence as the club's "half-assed singer" and Leo Rossi as Paul Castellano.

The Sinatra Club (2009)

It's 1972 and the Mafia crime families are at war, but that isn't enough to stop a young, unknown John Gotti, who has big ideas and even bigger ambitions. In order to put an end to a two decades' conflict, Gotti pulls together an unlikely crew made up of one member from each crime family to pull off a silver bullion heist. If Gotti can keep these criminal misfits from killing each other and succeed with this problem-riddled heist he will secure himself a spot in mafia history. This gang of misfit gangsters, hijackers and wanna-bees, all in their late 20's, hang out playing cards at a gambling den known as the "Sinatra Club" owned by Crazy Salvatore Polisi, the narrator of our story. At the time, nobody is getting "made" because all the families are at war. What's worse, the bosses have no idea who John and his underlings are. Determined to make a name for himself, John masterminds a scheme that will either squash the beef among the five families or get him and his whole crew killed. First he has to get his mentor and idol Charlie Fatico, a powerful captain in the Gambino crime family, to get the go ahead from the big boss Carlo Gambino. With the old man's blessing, the wheels are set in motion for a heist like no other. The plan is simple: use a guy from each family through the Club, hijack an armored truck loaded with silver bullion, and give each boss a piece of the action. What could be simpler? At the end, every Mafia boss will know who John Gotti is and, more importantly, owe him for helping end the bloodshed while enriching their coffers. He will be in the bigs and finally be a "somebody." The only problem with this simple plan is that it is anything but simple. As the clock ticks, the crew find more holes in the plan than in the mobsters who are getting whacked all over town. With the bosses of all five families waiting for their piece, the boys are off the poker table and on the street literally playing for their lives! Written by Debrah Polisi

Sal Polisi is as big a lowlife as Hill. Maybe bigger, if that's possible.

As far as the film, it looks like a pretty good cast.

I'm so glad they finally put up Henry Hill's character, Ray Liotta on here. I could never find it before. HAHA!

Truth be told, I'm not a fan of the real Henry Hill, but the movie "Goodfellas" was one hell of a hit with me. I just got done watching Ray Liotta in "Unlawful Entry" where he plays a COP as well. (a "crooked" cop though) ...

Believe it or not, Not all cops are crooked!

Keep it Real,

I've spoken with Salvatore Polisi over the phone and he sent me a copy of the Sinatra Club, it's a good movie, but don't be judging people you don't know, he's a good person. This video even proves it http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=63d4M2knv1c

I can't find any videos/trailers, etc. about this movie!
Somehow I just found myself watching a cool Man Made show re-doing Frank Sinatra's Social Club (the real deal on IMDB) ... lol

Hey Boss,
Do you mind filling me in on where "I" can get a copy of this movie? ... maybe I didn't search well enough. I started watching mobster videos on IMDB and then I was over to youtube watching Mafia vids. (so kind of got sidetracked). There is some good stuff on Henry Hill over there. He obviously has a problemo with addictions but I can relate (and NOW I realize) HOW & WHY I related to "Goodfellas" so well. There are some of him sober and speaking clearly too. ;-) nice to mention something good about somebody that's gettin' torn to shreds by the media and everybody else, ya know?
God Bless Yall,
CBiz

ADDED: That was an incredible trailer. It really moved me. I can't wait to see the movie. The guy has heart; it shows! :-)

I can't get you a copy of the movie nor is it online, but the trailer is here http://www.facebook.com/home.php?sk=h#!/video/video.php?v=377165525747&ref=mf. The movie doesn't have anything about Henry Hill in it although it does have Tommy DeSimone in it (renamed Tommy DeVito and played by Joe Pesci in Goodfellas) although the portrayal is much different than it is in Goodfellas (the only similarity is his temper). The trailer I posted earlier for Ubatz does feature Henry Hill though according to IMDb. I will let you know when both of these films are supposed to be released and I will also let you know how to get them (if there is a way).

I'm glad to see that you agree with me that Sal has heart, he is a really good person, that trailer almost made me cry and as much as I am fascinated by the Mafia that trailer shows that it's not worth it. Sal's story is a very remarkable and moving story.

clap clap

What's this, Italian Mafia Boss, are you growing up right before my very eyes? tongue grin

I'm proud of you, boy grin.

I'm just teasing you, but now do you understand that that life isn't worth it? It destroys families. Real families, not "Families." It takes husbands from their wives and fathers away from their children. Aside from being immoral, it's a horrible fucking way to live.

But hey, a lot of us were impressed by that stuff when we were younger, so you're not the only one.

Live and learn.
