The Fischetti brothers were members of the Chicago "Outfit" who were cousins of Al Capone. However being family of Capone did not prevent them from helping the government to rid Chicago of Al Capone. When Capone was charged with Tax Evasion, there was a period during his trial where he could have made a deal with the government, paid a fine, paid the back taxes, paid some bribes, and then walk away without having to serve any jail time. Capone's lawyers told this to the Fischetti brothers, but they along with Paul Ricca and Frank Nitti had decided that business in Chicago would be better for all with Capone out of the way. So the money for the back taxes, for the fines, and for any payoffs that would need to be made NEVER arrived from Chicago. And we all know what happened to Capone.
One of the brothers, Joe Fischetti was close to Frank Sinatra. Being that he managed and arranged show bookings for different mob connected hotels and casinos, he was the one who took Sinatra to Havana in 1947 to meet Lucky Luciano and the other mob bosses.
Charles Fischetti was the brother who supposedly sent Virginia Hill out west to spy for the Chicago outfit on Bugsy Siegel when Bugsy was setting up his racing wire services. He was reported to have the big "political" connections in Chicago and therefore was the one that handled all the poitical fixes and bribes that needed to be made on behalf of the mob.
Rocco was the one who ran the gambling operations in Chicago.
