Today's Mafia - 03/23/05 11:05 PM

What kind of mafias are out to this day? And how strong are they?

Re: Today's Mafia - 03/24/05 06:54 AM

Turnbull must definately know this

Main ones:

Japan - Yakuza, crazy ass guys with crazy tattoos all over the body. My father once when he visited Japan, he went for dinner with some friends to this very reasonable nice restaurant somewhere in Kobi, and as he walked outside he saw like a group of japanese guys all dressed in black suits walking out of a Hummer. See pic here.
Russia - Very ruthless
Italy - very family-central, romantic, passsionate and trustworthy.

I go for tha italy, Sicily.

What, only 3? No, it must be more. I know, this must be the most terrible three, but I believe every country has it's own little mafia, even Greenland. We'll wait for Turnbull and Floors.

Escobar is already DEAD my friend. Even though, he was a true gangster and so commanded unbelievable amounts of drugs to American coke-heads and rest of the world. He was damn smart that he sent some of the drugs on little submarines controlled by remote controls.

That's exactly what I thought of, writing your name! You seem to be quite an expert in everything related to Sicilian Mafia, and that's what interests me even more that American mob. You'd really do a great thing if you started some educating thread, Like DC did with his biographies, on Sicilian Mafia history and trivia.

Re: Today's Mafia - 04/14/05 02:44 AM

You got it right, MM. LCN (La Cosa Nostra) is an Americanized slang for the Mafia. They use it much the same way "goodfellas" is used ... it helps identify a made guy when talking amongst themselves. The U.S. law enforcement agencies had taken to using that "title" (LCN) back in the 50's.

MMF - Sonny : 1-0

BTW I hope he gets back on me...I really hope he knows a lot more about it then I do. This board is also a 'learning' board...so when he knows a lot more then I do, that's good, then I can ask him my questions.

A Sicilin Language? Hmmm, didn't know that there was a Sicilian Language. I always thought that it was the Italian Language with Sicilian Dialect! :p

Turnbull's a good man! A humble man, a very educated man and a very highly respected man on and off these boards ! PLEASE Don't ever forget that!

I can see that you dumb-asses didn't know what the fuck I said. So I will put it into short terms you dumb ass gavones:

Turnbull knows more about the mafia history than me, but I can speak better Sicilian dialect than him.

CONCULSION: You're all dumbasses that didn't read my posts correctly.

But, from that post displayed above, I got the impression that you were stating you did know more about the (Sicilian) Mafia then Turnbull.

Oh, and I think that "served" should be another nerdy insult discluded from the upcoming Mafia battle.

But...we should get back on topic. We all know a lot about the Mafia and we seem to be making a mochary of Rudik's thread. :p
