Greatest Gangster - 06/11/04 09:12 AM

I know there is a topic about it, but I want to make a poll.
So who do you think is the greatest gangster ever?

Good selection, Juventus! I voted for Frank Costello, because he was "the Prime Minister" of the underworld: sophisticated, subtle, careful, politically powerful. He also died peacefully in his eighties. He also provided most of the model that Puzo used for Vito Corleone.

I voted Lucky Luciano. For me, it was difficult to vote. To me he was the most important man for the American Organised crime. He made the commission, he's responsebal for hacking the Mustache Pete's. He told them that there was more money for everyone if the cooperate instead of fight with eachother. He helped the world in the WWII. But he got caught....by Dewey...

But Don Calo was also great...maybe a better don, but sure a better man..
Calogero Vizzini was the best Sicilian mafioso, he was mayor of Villalba, he was loved by the people and died peacefully. He become capo di tutti capi of the Sicilian Cosa Nostra. He also helped in World War 2.

Meyer Lansky. Big influence and a very high intellect. He was smart and knew what he did.

Ha! do you really want to know who the greatest gangster is? Its God! ... We don't see Him, but we are all His puppets. He makes us do things, without us really knowing. Although there are many stories about Him, no one can really say who He is.

its Tony Accardo because for one he was the longest ruling mob boss. he never spent a night in jail. He kept out of the drug buisness. he ruled hard but gave fair shares to his people. and gave examples to people who disobeyed his orders. he also kept a low profile unlike Al Capone.
