If you're looking for one-stop shopping, try "The New Ethnic Mobs," by William Kleinknecht. It has capsule reviews of Mafia history in Sicily and the US, then moves on to current gang activities, including other ethnic mobs.

Bro, ellroy ain't playing. Idiot's Guide to the Mafia is an actual book. Pretty informative too...check out Amazon and search for it...
