I expected so much more out of anything connected to the original. what a great film.

It looks OK. As long as it doesn't have that spanish rap song in it that was at the start of the trailer.

The plot to the film sounds Ok,I wont get my hopes up though

The original De Palma/Pacino film is on TV tonight, but I am sacrificing it in favour of Fuller's The Rig Red One.

Is this film based on the novel Carlitos Way, (similar to how the film Carlitos Way was based on the novel After Hours) or is the plot a figment of scriptwriters' imaginations?

This is stupid to be honest.
The movie is fine, but it has nothing to do with the original Carlito's way, why do they have to put the title similar to it. P diddy (Sean combs), Jay hernandez...It's going to be nowhere near the Al Pacino's original

But it didn't look like a complete pile of crap, I'm going to buy it, what the hey add it to the collection right? and if it's a complete pile, then at least I'll get a good laugh out of it

Have to admit, I'll buy it. It's based on some of the first books in the Carlito series. I'm sure it'll suck though. The fact that they put P. Diddy in it ruins it for me. By the way, what's wrong with hating rap? I can't stand the crap.
